I wouldn't trust some unknown brand to put my data on

    • Medion has made some decent products in the past - some of their laptops get raging reviews overseas.

WTF? It's not like they use unknown brand components. Open one these thing up and they're every bit as good as anything else out there. Don't like take it back within 60 days for a full refund. Try that anywhere else.

I think the whole idea of backing up is to not "trust" any single resource to hold your data - thus no brand whatsoever should be "trusted"!

      • Absolutely, redundancy is your friend! ;)

        • and best to make your backup different to the primary :)

Sounds like overseas these come with a Seagate HDD (http://www.dooyoo.de/festplatten/medion-md-90131/1308696/).
