Sony Bluetooth & Digital Noise Cancelling Headphones MDR-ZX750BN Buy 1 & Get 1 Free $179 @ DS

141
20XMAS

Great price considering you get 2 for the price of 1. Don't forget to apply the coupon 20XMAS at checkout. Extra for postage.

Single ones are selling for this price on ebay, so if you are only after the one, sell one and you would only be a few dollars out of pocket.

If these come bundled in a single box, like they do from Sony, they should also include a bonus travel pack (Sony portable charger, carry pouch & plug adaptor for in-flight use)

    • I'd like to know this as well!

      • if you buy 2 to you get 2 for free?

        • +1

Yes, but to be on the safe side, do them as separate orders. Otherwise if you order 2 at the same time use the code 40XMAS.

        • @unity1:

according to dicks terms the codes are only valid 1 per transaction per account

so it will be a hastle doing 2 orders.

        • @cumova: Sorry I didn't read their T&Cs. But if you Click & Collect from different stores they probably wouldn't know.

      • Thanks for the info.

  • why DS shows $199?

    • +2

Apply the coupon code 20XMAS to reduce the price by $20.

  • What quantity do I select on checkout? Do I just add 1 to my basket and automatically get delivered a second in the same order or do I order 2 online and the cost of the second is deducted from the order total?

    • NO, only order 1 ortherwise Dick will charge you double.

  • There is postage involved, I thought dick is always free postage with order 99 above??

    • +2

    Picked mine up today.

Was told in store that the system is only reserving 1 unit per order, so they are manually having to go and put the 2nd unit in the order. THis will mean people will miss out/have to wait for new units to come in.

    • I went to my Local DSE to pickup my order too, but based on my invoice it shows only 1 pair of headphones, I showed them DSE website, but they insist that I can only get 1 pair, WTF.
I have come back and contact hopeless DSE service phone number…….

      Not happy at all.

Typical crap service from DS. I don't know why they make things so difficult for their customers.

  • sell one on e-bay and you would only be a few dollars about $17.72 out of pocket

That is IF you can sell it at $179. E-bay final value fees 9.9% see - And that's not including fees they charge on post, OR paypal fees.

    • TBH, they don't feel like $279 headphones.

They do feel like $89.50 headphones, the bands are quite stiff and they don't sit around your ears that well.

      • What's the sound like for TV watching?

  • +1

    Lol
They told me either take the 20$ discount and not get the second headfone
Or pay full price and get the second for free
    What a dick

  • Just tried to pick mine up and was the same only one if you have used the redemption code, 199 full price for 2 and 179, always a lot of crap with this dick…….

  • Hopeless service.,

spend 30 mins with that 1300 number, couldn't get anyone to talk with, always leave a message or forward me to another auto-reply.
    What a maze….

  • Just opened my parcel and lo and behold only 1 pair of headphones inside. Now to call/email to get it sorted out - what a hassle!

Dick you've just lost my business for the rest of the year…

  • Yep, guess what - I just got mine delivered and only 1 headphones in the parcel…. Just rang Customer Service and they said that the item is completely out of stock…. And they have no idea when it may be back in stock… GREAT… they goes the Christmas present for the Mrs….

Supposedly they will call me with an update… What a joke…..

Nearly time for PayPal dispute if they don't sort this out ASAP…

  • Got all four of mine, ordered two and only two arrived. I called them up and and they said the bonus two were being sent separately the following week. Rang back later the next week and they said they were our of stock and they would be sent next week and they were at my post office later that same day for collection!

Hopeless! Dick Smith non-existent customer service as always. Didn't receive bonus pair, emailed them, no reply, immediately filed paypal dispute (from experience I know they won't sort it out). As usual they didn't even respond to the paypal dispute, just been notified tonight paypal has partially refunded half my payment - which is what I requested.

This is why I only ever use paypal for Dicksmith purchases. They have been out of stock, wrong product, or not sent the correct quantity for numerous sales over the last year. I've used paypal several times over that period to force a refund.

I am happy with the deal I got though, you just got to know how to play with Dick as he won't fix things when they go wrong - so always use paypal! Forget lengthy credit card chargeback process and don't waste your time on the phone with the call centre, you will be on hold forever and they never call or email you back as promised. Really quite disgraceful, I'm sure they have had heaps of feedback, but they don't seem to be making any effort to lift their game.

Anyway, despite these problems don't let that put you off grabbing their bargains, just make life easy for yourself and use paypal.

You are very honest. If you had claimed the full payment you would have received a full refund.

      • Thanks. Yes this is possible, from experience Dick never replies to paypal disputes and hence it appears a buyer could simply claim full amount and it wouldn't be challenged, paypal just automatically refund if seller doesn't respond to claim.

Some people may do this, and if Dick gets burned it's their own fault for not following up on problems.

You would think an ASX listed company would have a professional after sales process. Shareholders would sack management if they knew!
