Not as good as previous DWI eBay deal back in August, but if you missed out on pre-order/didn't want to ship through the US, this isn't bad at all. I'm upgrading from a $59 Boost Icon Nero, so pretty stoked.

there's a popup for XMAS2014 on the eglobal website, but the discount ($13 off >$450) is already applied, so you can use WB10 to bring it down another $10. You could save another $8.72 by going for un-insured economy shipping, but I wasn't game. I was going to try cashrewards on top of it, but doubted they'd credit the 1% cashback where discount coupons had been applied.

Edit - **This is Chinese Version with Flashed Cyanogemod rom. No CyanogenMod wording on the backcover, Google Play will be pre-installed before order fulfillment. No earphone included in the box.

    From the website:

**This is Chinese Version with Flashed Cyanogemod rom. No CyanogenMod wording on the backcover, Google Play will be pre-installed before order fulfillment. No earphone included in the box.

So no, technically this is the ColorOS version flashed with Cyanogenmod.

    • This individual is spot on. DWI do the same thing, offering two versions of the Chinese model with the ColorOS version cheaper as they don't need to take the time to flash CM11S onto it.

    • Updated, but the ColorOS at eGlobal was $10 more than the flashed CyanogenMod, See here.

I hadn't noticed that it wasn't branded Cyanogen though, not sure how to add wording to the heading.

    • Whats bad about it being Flashed with Cyanogemod rom? Is it bad?
I am looking to buy this phone and dont really know much about flashing and roms.

      • Nothing at al.. In fact, I'd say cyanogen is better!

      • Nothing bad, saves you from doing it yourself. It is unlikely you'll want to leave ColorOS on but the flashing process isn't hard and if you haven't done it before it will give you a taste for it and soon you'll be trying all different roms.

    • Is there a difference between the factory CM11 and ones that are flashed with CM11?

      • No.

      • -1

yes, network compatibility issues on the flashed CM11 will only affect those who like to travel and use their phone while their traveling. There is no international warranty on the flashed CM11 (you must go through the reseller, check before you buy if they offer warranty services).

  • i'd say not a bad deal. and opo is still awesome.

have they fixed the inconsistent touch issue?

  • +1

would not buy because of touch issue..

  • Is this better than a G3 for $500?

    • +1

G3 has better screen, OPO has 32Gb more storage space.

I think the G3 has more LTE band coverage, but I am unsure.

    • +1

G3 is phone of the year, you decide. LG or something else?

    All,

I would seriously reconsider buying a high risk phone like this through eGLobal. I bought a Sony Xperia Z3 Compact through them a month back for my partner, and the touchscreen showed a fault.

The RMA process was the worst I have ever been through, and even after sending video evidence of the fault, they determined themselves that there was "no issues" and tried to send me back the phone and billing me with the postage cost.

In the end I had to start a PayPal dispute.

If you have any issues with this phone - don't expect eGlobal to have your best interests at heart! The terrible customer service they provide is not worth the few bucks you may save.

Had the same experience with an eglobal dslr camera

  • It shows $458 for me. Am I doing anything wrong.
    here is the screenshot

    • Hmm base price is 449 in your pic so the automatic 13off isn't showing - try adding a $1 item

      • Now I added a $3 item (unable to find $1 item), then the total does not apply the code automatically ($30 XMAS2014 code) and i had to manually enter it. Then WB10 code does not work on the top of XMAS2014 code.In the END $458 without insurance.

        • Bummer, this only worked where the coupons stacked :/ the one I got has cleared customs in Melbourne so hoping it'll be delivered today.

They probably come from the same factory.

    • Going on your comment, I don't think you'll need to worry about 'smart' anything.

  • good deal
