  • Is this code active yet? Not working for me

    • 5 more minutes til 10am?

      • Works now.. and in the space of 2 mins 8 more have sold. 3 people bought yesterday for $319 - silly.

Cost me $260.20 for the black one incl shipping. Silver has the choice to collect in store.
$6.48 or so cashback via CashRewards hopefully.

      • Sorry didn't see the main post for this coupon. Bought now and worked thanks!

  • ITS ACTIVE!!!!!

I just bought, code worked and everything. But my confirmation emails from PayPal and eBay show full price!!? Have I messed up somewhere or has this happened anyone else?

    • It will show full price in some places, as that is what TGG get paid, but if you check detail it should show after vouchers/discounts you paid $260 or so.

Both my PayPal email and eBay emails show $260.20

      • Nope no mention of discount anywhere and looks like the full amount has been put on hold on my bank account, anything I can do? This is so frustrating!

        • +1

Contact PayPal, this happened to some last deal. They'll sort it out.

        • Just checking, you paid using PayPal? That's a requirement along with applying the code at checkout before paying.

        • @systmworks:
Yup paid with PayPal. Have been in contact with TGG and they say there's nothing I can do other than cancel(by calling a store for some reason) and re order, even though I can no longer reorder.

          @baldshin:
Talk to PayPal first - much easier if they can fix at their end.

    • lol why'd u get downvoted for making a mistake, have an upvote

      • I think its cos lots of people make that same mistake and make those same comments and regulars read them over and over..
To be fair, baldshin is fairly new, so may not have been through one of these ebay sales before.

        • Yup I'm not used to these ebay sales! Turns out the discount was not applied as my PayPal account is a PayPal Ireland account, and not an AU one. Don't think that should matter but apparently it does. Called the store to cancel, turns out they didn't have the stock anyway! Online retail this side of the world has a lot to learn compared to in Europe!

        • @baldshin: yeah geo restrictions are the worst, my google wallet account is US and can't be changed to AU by Google staff, caused a lot of issues with google play..

  • Got the black one. Glad I set the alarm :)

  • Looks like TGG have ended the listing. Either no stock of they're losing too much money.

    • +1

Most likely stock. It's EBay that foots the discount bill.

    • I ordered while on the dunny at 10:54am yesterday. Glad I ordered while doing a number 2 instead of waiting after I finished ;)

  • I just tried to pick up my black Moto at my local store. Heaps on order but no stock. She could only find 1 store with 1 in stock and that was Frankston in Melbourne. I'm on the Gold Coast.

  • Just picked up my silver one from Penrith (worth the 50km drive). Turns out the silver one has a grey leather band not a black one :/

    • I picked up mine in Melb also. I purchased a steel silver pebble band and am going to change the grey band. Chrome one comes with grey band, black one comes with black band but the chrome and silver band will look a lot better.

      • Where will you get your replacement leather black band from ?

  • +2

If you want a steel band (silver or black) that fits the Moto360 (there is a cut out that stops some straps fitting or risks cracking the back) then for US$20 delivered you can get the strap for a Pebble Steel .

https://getpebble.com/pebble_steel (click Shop, Rest of World, scroll down to straps)

    • More interested in the leather rather than metal, Moto started to stock replacement bands for their US stores, hope that means we can order soon ?

      http://www.motorola.com/us/moto-360-bands/Moto-360-Leather-B…

    • keep in mind the silver band has a different tint to the silver moto 360.
Also there are reports of cracks with the pebble steel band, and even the OEM leather band.
The official metal moto 360 has a plastic link to prevent this design flaw.
      See link: https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/ci/fattach/get/1…

I think best bet is to wait for a cheap chinese knock-off of the plastic insert before buying 3rd party bands, up to you though…

  • got a call from tgg, out of stock for silver, stock arriving in 2wks (i chose delivery), i'll be happy if it comes before christmas

  • Got a call from TGG as well no stock for silver, I was burned by their games sale last time they kept stalling and no stock in the end

what should I cancel or wait ?

    • Wait. I bet they arrive within a week or 2. The price is too good to pass up.

      • Today is the 12th and no call yet :(

  • Any chance of more stock at this price for this sale?

    • There is a chance they will add the Moto360 back onto their eBay store before this sale ends Tuesday night.

It was only available for an hour or so, so many people missed out :(

I just got a call from my local GG store, to say the distributor advised stock is due mid-Dec (2 weeks), however very few stores have some stock, so they have transferred my sale to a store that does, for them to send to me. Hopefully that happens today. Otherwise Im happy to wait.

  • When I went to pick mine up the lady told me that after my order (probably the first one) their store itself got 29 more orders and it would take about 1-2 weeks till more stock arrives.

  • +1

Hopefully you all get it. I bought mine 2 weeks ago from HN for $325 (I got lucky and called up randomly inquiring on the G Watch R availability and they told me that Springvale had ONE in stock).

I got the silver version and for all those concerned about battery life: it's really not as bad as you're probably thinking. I keep ambient mode on the whole time and I get through a full day from 6:30am to about 10pm at night with 15-20% battery left. If I turn ambient mode off it ends the day at about 30-35%.

As for the performance: I still have yet to notice anything annoying. It can be a little sluggish to respond to motion every now and then, and the heart rate monitor is hit and miss, but as thing that you wear it absolutely hits the nail on the head.

It looks gorgeous and the screen looks amazing. I love how the chamfered screen edge gives it a bit of a jewel effect and it feels like you're looking through a portal into another world.

Even at $325 I don't feel bad about buying this thing. I love it, and you will too

Oh and I keep all notifications on, I'm constantly checking the watch and use it frequently as a music controller, if you're wondering how much use i get out of that battery

  • I just got a call from my local store (on Gold Coast QLD) to say my Black Moto360 has arrived - transferred from one of their other stores (Balina NSW I think). I ordered just after 9AM (QLD time) on Sunday - about 2 mins after the eBay sale started.

Fiance is on her way to pick it up in her lunch break, since I work up in Brisbane. Fingers crossed its sealed and all good.

    • How are you finding it ? can't wait for mine my local store said it's on order i have to wait 2 weeks :(

It looks fantastic. The watchfaces are amazing, compared to the designs available for the Pebble or Samsung Gear.

I am missing the camera and hands free voice calling that the Samsung Gear has. And the simple icon based Tizen OS of the Samsung. And the 3 day battery life.

With the watch on brightness 4 or 5, the watch is running low by nighttime. With auto brightness on, I find the display is often too dim (having an auto-brightness feature with adjustable level like Android phones would be good). Motorola have sacrificed brightness trying to make the battery last longer.

Android Wear requires a lot of swiping and I find either cannot do some of the simple tasks I am used to doing on my Samsung watch, or takes a lot longer to swipe through menus to do it.
Doing a simple restart or shutdown takes a lot more effort and swipes/taps than the Gear.
All the built in watchfaces go blank (to save battery) after 4 seconds which is very fast (unless you literally only want to glance at the time).
I highly recommend installing WatchMaker (a lot of sites also recommend Facer, but I uninstalled it as WatchMaker works much better, and happily opens Facer watchfaces, either as ZIPs or .face files).

I think it takes a few weeks to get used to Android Wear if you havent used it before - and for it to learn your routine to provide more useful data.
Makes a fantastic dress watch - although if I want to go to Dreamworld Id wear my Samsung so I can take a video going down the Giant Drop!
Its also my everyday office work watch - cos it looks great - and I just need to get used to giving voice commands rather than tapping icons.

It will get better as Android Wear matures… its still version 1. Version 2 should be out within weeks hopefully.

Version 2 adds the ability to look up a dismissed card/notification - although not sure if you can only look up the most recently dismissed one. Eg if you are swiping away 5 notifications, about the weather at work, weather at home, text from your friend, drive time to home, etc, and you accidentally dismiss the text message before you have read it, not sure if you can go back to it.
On the Samsung I am used to tapping Notifications - then Messages (or Facebook, or Missed Calls) and seeing a whole list of notifications from the past few days, and being able to action them whenever.

  • Apparently Android Wear Lollipop is rolling to smartwatches, still yet to recieve my watch though, anyone got a notification from GG ?

I was contacted by my local store and told that there is next to no stock nationwide and they are looking to their distributors to send some, which could take weeks. Don't hold your breath that you'll be getting one before x'mas, let alone this year.

      • +1

Got the same call so annoyed, and yet they have it in stock on their ebay how come ?

  • +3

    still waiting :/

    • +1

I'm predicting similar mishap to last year clearance game sale -_-

      • They've lost my business for sure. Last time it was sending me what looked like a used microwave, now it's waiting a month for a device that they don't even stock.

    • Got email today, goods has been sent.Lucky if can get it tomorrow.

      • Thats promising! Which store was your order with?

        • Essendon Store in mel

        • @xulileo: cheers, just got confirmation that mine was sent out too.

  • 5 weeks later, mine finally shipped.
