      • code DOESN'T work for the Pebble

        I just tried it

Are you logged in? Try again as guest. It just applied fine for me.

        • Just bought one, seems to work fine. The code appears to only work once per account but guest checkout should be fine.

        • If you're after Pebble Steel, then that's cheaper on eBay/DSE with 20% discount.
That said, I just ordered the $74 plastic here. :-)

@muncan: I bought the plastic one but the screen gets badly discoloured when viewing with polarised sunnies. Apparently this is a design flaw. I could also see the discolouration without sunnies, especially in bright light. I'm sure this won't bother everyone though. Just a thought. I exchanged for the steel today and love it. It's slightly smaller and the buttons/screen feel much nicer. (As they should considering the $100 price difference)

Fuji Instax Mini 8 Camera is ~$65 which is really good!

My crystal ball says that you will use it once and never again once you have to pay $20 for 20 photos. Anyone bought refills?

      • I couldn't agree more with u! But it's on my little 1s Xmas list so I wanted to get it cheap as possible!

      • well yeah, it is not a thing used for everyday photography, but it's perfect for the occasional fun event/bday/night out/family gathering, and of , a nice little present :)

        • It sounds wonderful, my daughter bought one. We have 2 SLR cameras in the house, 2 point and shoot and then everyone has a phone, and I told her the same thing. You can print a photo on a inkjet in a couple of minutes if you really want, or thake them to Officeworks and pay 10 cents. It's a great novelty item but when you need to fork out $20 for film for 20 more photos that are really tiny, I find very few will do it and it sits on the shelf until thrown out. You can even get an ink jet printer and paper for less than $65 and you get a free scanner with it too.

        • @abacus: hmm, that's a very interesting perspective, thanks for that! I've always considered them a nice way to get photos instantly to share around friends etc, but it never clicked that a simple printer can do the same. I suppose this always has the convenience, but indeed, I doubt it will have ample use for $1 a photo. I personally got this as a present. I know that the person will enjoy this kinda thing as they don't know much about photography other than pointing their iphone haha. I suppose for the not tech savvy folks or those who like the convenience/novelty of this, it will be pretty nice thing. As for me personally, I recently bought a Nikon D3200 as my first DSLR, and still waiting its arrival! I'm really excited to get to the next step from point and shoots :)

        • Also the photos are tiny - 46(W) x 62(H) mm, about 2.5 x 1.8 inches, which according to very rough calculations done at 1am, is less than a fifth of a 6X4 inch in area.

  • WORKS ON Y550!!!

I recently bent mine, damn thing still works perfect. I'd buy another to replace it, probably will. But figure I might just save the few measly dollars and hopefully will come across something else.

    • +1

Yep, just picked up another Y550. Pity no click n collect from store. Means an extra week before getting the phone.
Wife will just have to wait patiently. I'm more impressed by this little phone as each day goes by.
A bit different after my S2 (now sold), but not in a bad way. Battery has lasted 4 days and counting….

  • Awesome thanks Op I got the Fuji insta max 8 for $64.95 great price

    • does it come with film ? or should i order extra ?

      • I think u need to order now I have to find the best possible price for film

        • You get 10 film slides (one cartridge) in the box.

Best bet is to order the film from eBay in bulk.
