For the next 3 days only, you can buy a complete Cisco certification package for 97% off the normal price (yep, that's only THREE PERCENT of the normal price)!!

I initially thought that this was just a marketing trick to grab headlines but this is really 97% off! Check out the website of the mob who runs it where the course is still selling for the normal price.

Not only that, the price you see there is actually in US dollars as it is an American-based company.

As far as 'due diligence', they seem legit.

Here is their entry on the Better Business Bureau website:
http://www.bbb.org/new-york-city/business-reviews/online-edu…

So if you or anyone you know works in IT (and looking to get a professional certification in networking) or is looking to kick-start their career in this field, this could be a very cheap option to get started.

You'll still have to do the same amount of study, no 'discounts' there ;) .

Important clarification: this deal is only for the training and does NOT include the cost of the formal certification exams.

  • Beware that training may not result in certification. You may have to pay to sit/re-sit exams.
I can't see from the Groupon deal description exactly how far this gets you.

thanks for post, i give + for effort.

this caught my eye, wouldnt mind to do it. so did some googling about it

    1. complaint about this exact course for 99$, looks like refund was given, 1 year ago: http://www.bbb.org/new-york-city/Business-Reviews/online-edu…

    2. Yelp. the positive reviews x2 look dodgy as hell. One guy states: Basically, a collection of videos of a guy reading out text to you. http://www.yelp.com.au/biz/it-university-online-new-york

so yea. it might be 100$ but sounds like trash. sorry

full report here: they are NOT CISCO recognised training partner:

    • The Rip Off report link is a great find!

However, reading the comments to the original post there speaks volumes IMHO.

The comment at the very bottom is from the people who are actually selling this course and as expected, they are having quite a go at the person who originally posted this report.

However, even they (who are clearly NOT impartial), make some very valid points.

I reckon people should read this page you found in full and decide for themselves before making their purchase.

      • just sharing my findings with fellow OB'ers .
        Groupon is a great site!

The cost is in the exams. There are free and low cost training materials online.

  • I self studied the CCNA and I'm currently doing the same with CCNP. Just buy the books and any videos and pay for exam. No worries that way.

    • Yes i also self studied the CCNA and I'm currently doing the same with CCNP . You can get literally millions of books and videos on the web pirated or otherwise. Whats this "course" gonna do? The only advantage which any training provider can possibly give you is hands on experience with the hardware. And this mob cant do that……..

    • I think the CCNP course is changing in Jan .. So check that
    • Yes either finish old CCNP before January end or you will have to write the new one.
