It seems like a good price for a shop that isn't hong kong based and includes international shipping.

However for most people shops like Dealextreme sell similar flashlights much cheaper.

These seem to have more useful features though.

The store link says "We regret to inform you that due to many serious problems (in design, performance, and business aspects) we have decided to discontinue carrying Eagletac products."

Based on that i'm not sure if anyone should buy them?

  • well people in CPF (candle power forum) are HARD CORE flashlight fans.

Business aspects, im not sure, but design & performance, I have strong confidence it'll satisfy most average people.

The only problem I've heard about them is cracking lenses.
People in CPF expects the flashlight to be dropped on concrete from at least waist height (if not from a few floors up) and suffer no more than a little scratch or dent.

Just look at the reviews, you won't be disappointed.

    • I had my dealextreme flashlight that is very similar to these flashlights thrown out of a balcony onto concrete and its still working.

Maybe I was lucky, but I dealextreme definitely sell some sturdy flashlights, they also sell some fragile ones too.

      • why was it thrown off a balcony? :P

        • Splinter cell mission?

        • Some randoms thought it would be funny. :(

  • I'm a flashaholic myself (people who loves flashlights), and as far as my understanding goes, Eagletac lights are simply on a different level compared to DX or KD lights.

DX or KD lights are pretty much hit or miss, and destined to screw you up later even if it works on arrival.

Seems like a good deal… but as long as this is OZ-BARGAINS (ie: Australia), can we call them torches, and not "flashlights" ;-)

  • I agree with Berry580:
DX/KD do have some good budget lights, in particular the Romisen ones, but Nitecore, fenix, quark, eagletac (etc) are much better.
