My first post. Woot!

Just bought this cos The Raid (1) was seriously good. Reviews are OK.

Edit: For clarity, this is to "buy" and not to rent.

Synopsis: He thought it was over. After fighting his way out of a building in THE RAID, rookie Jakarta cop Rama thought it was done and he could resume a normal life. He couldn't have been more wrong. Going undercover, he must enter the criminal underworld and join a gang, laying his own life on the line in a desperate all-or-nothing gambit to bring the whole rotten enterprise to an end.

          Disclaimer: I'm an Arab-Indo as well… I've had my friends used that word at me jokingly and any combination of that.

    Loved the first one but this one didn't do it for me. Had some completely bonkers fighting scenes though. Like more bonkers than the first one :D

      Yeah it was a bit strange seeing the moustache guy come back as if he never died but I found out after that it was meant to be a different character. Also didn't like how they had a lot of build up on multiple villains only to go down like flies near the end. Still, solid action movie.

    Somehow I cannot see this taking out the Palme D'Or.

    Should be watched on pirated VCD on a 14" CRT, or a cellphone, for that authentic Indonesian feel.

    This is a must-watch movie for action lovers. Faint hearted should stay away from all the violence though.

    I absolutely loved the first movie, went and saw this one when it was in cinemas for a couple of days and it just didn't do it for me. The first was just pure unadulterated comical violence, whereas #2 really tried to have a deep story which I really just wasn't into. Still some really cool fight scenes and worth every one of those four dollars to own, but I would recommend watching this first and the original afterwards

      Same. Look like the price has reverted back (well, still discounted but not great value).
