      …meh

  • Wow, good find :)

    • +50

Good find? It's the store rep!

      • +5

Rep was on extra lookout for sales obviously.

      • -1

        Oh yeah. Play nicely now!

  • +2

    Thanks Op
Possible to include ASUS RT-AC87U in Group A as well?

If so, will definitely get it!

    • +2

RT-AC87U will not be in. If you want wireless router, you got to be quick, we've had sales since early in the morning, eg. Gigabyte R9 290 sold out this morning before i could get the post up :(.

      cheers
      SE

      • Looking to upgrade my router at the moment … the Nighthawk and Viper are great deals here … maybe add the comparable Asus DSL-RT-AC68U … :-)

        • Seems the Nighthawk (R8000) do not have a good review comparing to its predecessor R7000

Viper is a ADSL Modem-Router instead of pure router, which might not be that worth for cable internet or NBN

AC68U is currently priced at $205 (+ shipping), still a bargain comparing to any available prices in staticice.

        • @kungbernard:

I am looking for a modem router. The Viper was a great deal for a new modemrouter (the Firmware is not there yet … but it will get better over time). It's sold out now and got replaced with something else (no modem router anymore :-( ). Agree … the Nighthawk R8000 has some mixed reviews …

I would buy the Asus DSL-RT-AC68U (with the modem functionality). Skycomp has it with free shipping which makes it similar priced at shoppingexpress when you have a 15$ voucher … would be a great deal as part of the Trifecta. But maybe I just wait and save the money … my old Netgear modem router is still fine

        • @mini_wombat: cool mate

Not sure why…but i still feel Netgear and Asus do better routers than D-link recently
And personally do prefer to have external antennas rather than internal

anyway, good luck on the next offer :)

        • @mini_wombat:

I wouldn't buy the ASUS DSL-AC68U. I'm about to take my second unit back and tell them to use it as an iron. It's hot enough and the internet speed is roughly the same!

        • @slikstick:

I did some research on it and think it suits my line. (I am not far (1km) from the exchange and the chipset is great for that) If you are further away from the exchange (check at http://www.adsl2exchanges.com.au) I would suggest you a TP-Link Archer D7 (or the new D9).

I sync at around 13763 kbps Up and 812 kbps Down and that is with an old Netgear modem … but I get more and more clients and AC wireless would be great.

        • @mini_wombat:

Well I wish you luck with it.
My first one failed completely, the second one struggles to reach 1mb/s, when it connects at all.
My old belkin hits over 4mb/s every time.

        • +1

          @slikstick:

You must really have a bad one or the line stats are not suitable for you (Broadcom chips are superior on long lines which you should have as you only sync at 4mb/s. Check out Whirlpool: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum/82 Lots of experts which know that stuff far better than me.

MSY have 10% on ASUS on the 13th Dec … so a better deal on the Asus router than shoppingexpress with the 15$ voucher. Still have hopes that it might be in the Trifecta …

This is bloody amazing… too bad I'm kinda broke at the moment… 500GB SSD + Gold class would be nice =)

    • +2

      +1

I close the tab because I'm broke.. but then open it up again because the deal is good :(

      Torturing myself here

    • Those Gold class not available for us Victoria people.

So nothing worth getting with that EVO. Will wait for a special on the drive oneday.

  • Pretty good trifecta!
Any chance of an Ethernet over Powerline kit being included somewhere?

  • This is fantastic!

I needed a new SSD and Cloud/NAS drive as I'm moving out my share house. Been watching MSY for a few weeks.

The 500GB EVO and the Lenovo Cloud Drive is a great deal! Thanks OP!

  • I don't need these, but they are so tempting :p

    • +14

i learned this from fellow ozbargain - "i buy because it's a bargain"

      • +1

any sale on the Netgear R7000?

        • R7000 will not be included in this promotion

        • I am after R7000 too, was tempted to buy R8000 last sale but the review for R8000 does not look promising compared to R7000.

  • site down?

    update: back up now

  • Wow… love it… a HP laptop + 2 other items for $299 delivered… tempting..

I just brought a macbook pro and partioned it to install windows.. dont really need a new laptop but… :=/

    Lol

  • There's something wrong with the links. It goes to a Not found page

  • Rep, some of the links (eg N2830 laptop and 1TB cloud drive) doesn't work.

    • please temporary use the links in the promotion page, they are working.

      • REP - is it sold out(HP Laptop) ?
any chance of more win laptops

        • might have another model coming up, stay sharp.

        • +1

          @ShoppingExpress: thanks still waiting :P

        • @ShoppingExpress: Just wondering with thethe new laptop PSCMLA-03F07Q added , ODD can be installed ?

Or there is possibility for another one to come to this trifecta

        • @777:

It does not have the space to install OOD, however we do sell external ODD

          Cheers
          SE

  • how good is that HP laptop

does not sound all that powerful

also the price is more expensive than what's listed on other sites

    http://www.shopbot.com.au/pp-hp-250-g3-celeron-n2830-k1c53pa…

    ==

can we run photoshop, visual studio 2012/2014 etc?

    • +1

its a celeron cpu it wont be very good, only good for general internet browsing and such.

    • +1

PS, VS with a Celeron? Definitely not recommended

      • not to mention 2gb ram :P

        • yep :)

      • what specs/laptop recommended to run

adobe photoshop/products, visual studio 2012/2014 etc?

        usage :
        -web design, programming
        -internet browsing
        -some gaming

Also would a macbook be as powerful or more powerful than an equivalent expensive intel laptop?

        • You'd want a PC, not a Mac, as [correct me if I'm wrong] Visual Studio isn't available on Mac, and it'd be a bit stupid to make it available really lol
I'd recommend the fastest processor you can get [i5 at least] and at least 8GB ram. For your Adobe stuff then a decent graphics card would help a lot too.

        • @XeSSiV:

actually you can install windows on macbook

I will keep a look out for i5 etc..

but i am guessing price would in 1k or more range

        • @tyler.durden:
Yes you can do it, but will it natively utilise the hardware available? Up to you at the end of the day. Why go for a half arsed solution when the full blown one would probably be cheaper considering Apple's exorbitant markup.

  • OP, this Sony XPERIA Z Smartphone is unlocked?

    • +1

Yes. (Sorry you asked OP, but I am sure it is.)

      • Thanks for your answer. OP may be too busy to answer.

        • NP Mate. He might have missed it, otherwise he is quite good in replying to questions :)

  • What's better out of the Nighthawk and the Viper?

  • -1

All the good stuff is gone already. Classic ShoppingExpress.

    • +1

      which one?

we are adding some more of the 500GB but i expect them gone very fast, more new products will be coming out shortly.

Hi Rep, do you have other NAS rather than WD My Cloud EX4? I'm looking for a high performance one, either 2 or 4 bays. eg QNAP Turbo NAS (TS-251), QNAP 269L or similar. Can pay difference.

    • +1

i haven't gone back to check the list of products. May have other choice but definitely no QNAP.

      Cheers
      SE

      • Depending on what it is, I'd be interested in another NAS offering as well - the WD was interesting but not quite there.

(PS - awesome deal as it is with the options provided, thank you.)

  • Rep, I could not complete transaction as you have run out of the Samsung EVO 500GB SSDs.

Are you able to add more stock?

    • +1

yes, we gonna add some more, but not a lot, please hurry!

      • +1

        Thanks Rep!

I have completed the purchase :-)

  • Bloody amazing deal, I don’t really need a 500gb ssd or another 7” tablet, but at that price, it’s tough to resist…good gosh ozbargain!

    • -4

Check 500g ssd and 7” tablet on amazon, you will laugh..

      • The exact same SSD is $239.99US on amazon…

      • means this one is good deal or bad?

        • +2

After the discount, you pay $219 I think….so this is a good deal.
I dunno what the other guy is laughing about

        • @ssx:

yeah i want to know why idog8818 was laughing

        • @ssx:

yep I paid $219 for the 500GB 840 EVO (insane price)

        • @ssx:

The SSD I saw on amazon or newegg was $189 or similar

  • Hi rep, ordered a laptop from your ebay listing yesterday, can i cancel that and order this one instead please? ;-)

  • Hi rep, my XMAS10 code didn't work. It said it's only for certain users, but I got sent the email.

    • coupon code cannot be used in conjunction with promotion deal such as today's deal. It should work on other products, please let me know (PM) if otherwise.

      Cheers

  • Hi REP, could you please include this http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/tp-link-td-vg3631-wire… so that I can buy this package?

  • Sony xperia Z sold out or not available yet. Can't see the option to add in cart.

    • +1

New product will replace it shortly.

      Cheers
      SE

      • .dwa

      • Can you do replace it with another on par phone plss??

      • Yes another similar spec phone would be great.

  • Really tempted, but must resist.

  • +8

YESSSS NOW I CAN GET THAT FAX MACHINE I ALWAYS WANTED!!!

    • Sold out! Ahhh … I missed out!

  • Could not say no to the 500gb SSD

  • Is the 2gb drive any fast? 5000 or 7200

    • +4

7200 and its tb not gb :p

  • What a cool idea! Thanks rep, grabbed me a trifecta which will help with the Xmas shopping.

  • So tempting, this is one of the best trifecta's I've seen. I'm overseas and spending money on other things and cards are approaching max. Bugger!!

  • ah i just bought modem router last week….:(

  • You guys advertised a R9 290 card to be part of this deal. When the trifecta deal first appeared on the site the r9 290 was there and when i went to buy it said no more available :( gutted.
