Sennheiser Momentum Black Headphones Over-Ear $198 Pick up Dick Smith (eBay)

170
CPICKUP

Same deal as before - just updated to include the 10% off voucher that started today!

As stated in the comments of the previous thread, these are the over-ear cans rather than the on-ear variety. I picked up mine 2 days ago (kicking myself for missing the 10%) and can say that they sound great, although the ear cups are quite small so if you have large ears you may want to try some on before you buy them. Same goes for a big head, these things could crush you if you've got a wide noggin.
I don't have issues with them on these fronts though, so they were a great pickup for me even at the higher price.

Stock available in all states that I checked except QLD. Sorry guys.

  • where does it say over-ear?

    • "Closed circumaural headphone design"

  • Thanks. Just bought one.

  • Cheap. out of stock most places for pickup

    • Quite few available from Melbourne CBD 3000.

  • anyone knows how these compare to UE6000 or V-Moda Crossfades

    • less fatiguing/aggressive bass than the UE. Not sure which crossfades you're refering to but I've got a pair of LP, not sure why vmoda even gets considered as a decent headphone.

      • V-Moda M-100 is most definitely a decent headphone, and while i've never heard them, i would think V-Moda M-80 and V-Moda XS are too.

(and in any case, i would think even the Crossfade LP/LP2 are decent for what they are for…but i won't take offence at you saying they are not decent.)

        • Yeah I have the ue6000 and m-80, but seriously don't like the on-ear clamping. I was looking at buying another over-ear set cuz the
UE seem to not be as good if u don't turn on NC.

I have also been using Jaybird bluebud X.. which is fairly good for bluetooth buds.

        • M100 is very nice headphone and LP is pretty bad for any music except edm. M80 is also very nice mid vocal focused headphone.

        • @ZzRice007:

are you using an external amp (and if not, would you consider it)? i think UE6000 sound best in passive mode (no NC), but with a better external amp (if you like the sound signature with the NC on, then get a bass boosting amp).

i'm a basshead, so i use the UE6000 with a Digizoid ZO2 (or E17 with bass boosted). (although, i use M-100s 90% of the time).

        • +1

Didn't mean to offend or anything. Just after going through the ranks of headphones from m50s and eventually ending at T1s, I listen to my old LPs and can't help but feel so butthurt that I bought those for close to $300 and actually thought they sounded good.

        • @krisspy:

          yeah fair enough.

from what i gather, at <$100, the LP/LP2 are probably decent basshead headphones for hardcore basshead listening to mainly hip-hop/EDM…but yeah, i would probably be hutthurt if i paid $300 for them! ;)

        • @caprimulgus: yeah I've never tried an amp, didn't really want the bother of carrying more stuff in pockets as portability is a big issue for me.

Thats why I changed to the Jaybirds and for what they are, offers fairly good sound/batterylife and portability.

  • Not available to pick up in Sydney ? Postcode 2000.

    • Chatswood, Brookvale, and Hornsby all show stock, so given my total lack of knowledge of Sydney's geography I just went for the safe bet of saying that your state has stock :)

    • Because city is blocked

      • 'sif that would stop an enterprising ozbargainer. You get a free cab ride home too with Uber!

Guess who's going home in the back of a paddy wagon…

  • None around newcastle central coast

  • Is there any way to get the 10% applied to a previous purchase if you're within their 14 day return period?

  • why is this so cheap? I was looking for this around this time last year and it was 300$+
