  Ridiculously good price, paid $345~ for a 2TB WD the other day (though it had eSATA/Firewire too). Cheapest on SI by about $60.

  Cheapest by $40 as of this morning.

  Looks like there's been some price movement on 2TB drives in general over the past few weeks. Bare WD20EADS can now be bought for $259.

    The one on the WD website is the new design - will be released very soon. The green boxed Essential hd is the outgoing model. I think they're dropping prices to clear out old stock - for example, i paid $127 for the 1TB version at Officeworks a few weeks ago (but has since gone back to $149), whereas the newer 1TB model is $199.

        All the Big W stores i rang in Brisbane are sold out. Couldn't price match at OfficeWorks either, i rang half a dozen stores, all sold out too.
        Picked one up a Harvey Norman, cause the guy price matched it for me based on the catalogue i showed him, and he didn't call Big W to check on stock.

        It's good that JB have it for that price.

      i did see it, but i thought he was referring to the 1TB WD mybook, though under more investigation, i dont think officeworks even stocks this drive, only the mirrored 2x1TB one
