  • Sh*t… now that's a good price

  • +3

But I could buy 5 Toshies from DS ebay and glue them all together for the price of this ;) Great specs on this one though for the price.

  • Geforce 840M is very mediocre and will not be able to run most games at 1080p at a decent framerate. Dual core i5… one of the most pointless CPUs ever invented. Either get Pentium or i3 if you want dual core, or i7 for quad core.

    • It's a U chip, even the i7 U chips are dual-core. Gotta keep that power consumption down somehow, and an i5 haswell has plenty of grunt while keeping the TDP down to 15W.

      • Most of the time when you need the extra grunt, you're connected to AC so power consumption doesn't matter.

    • The 840M is only marginally better than the HD 4400 built into the CPU. Not sure why you need both, unless you are running low GPU intensive games that require large textures?

  • So is this a decent deal?

  • Display is great, ssd, usb 3, price is ok, but then, no bluray and gpu so so

    Not perfect!

    • I'd be disappointed to have space wasted on an optical drive.

    • Bluray is wasted on a 15.6" screen. Picture quality will also be crappy due to cheap TN panel with poor colour gamut, and the sound quality? Don't get me started. Save your blu-rays for the home theatre.
