    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LG-55UB820T-55-139cm-UHD-LED-LCD-…

same price but less 10% click and collect coupon plus ( minus ) cashback

Lol what is UDD? I think you mean UHD.
If you get it via eBay you can get it for $1134 (which inc cashback)
    Therefore not a bargain. Negging.

      Is ebay incl in cashback?

      • yes. Cashback is with LG not with Goodguys.
        http://www.lg.com/au/promotions/UHDPromotion
When you pickup you will get a regular Goodguys receipt, therefore would be no different to buying online or in store.

          Actually no your wrong

Purchase does not include: (i) rental payment plans; (ii) lay-buys or pre-orders; (iii) commercial or business transactions involving the purchase of more than three (3) units total of Participating Products; (iv) purchases via eBay or similar online third party internet websites; (v) second hand products or (vi) purchases made in conjunction with any other LG offer.

        • @TRENT86: Not about where you purchased it. Ebay or not.

I remember purchasing something else on eBay from TGG and when you picked it up instore, they give you a real good guys receipt, which mention nothing on there about ebay. Just says Paypal payment. Therefore I think you would still be eligible for cashback.

I made the purchase around 2months ago, not sure if they changed their eBay sales invoicing since then though. Maybe they actually have a "eBay receipt" now, not their usual TGG Receipt when you pickup. Anybody else can confirm with a more recent purchase from their TGG eBay and Pickup?

@lplau: No the point, the terms clearly state no ebay purchases so you don't want to send people to buy it and then get refused

        • @TRENT86: It clearly states that, but the receipt they give you don't state eBay on it anywhere.

And they do not validate receipts with the retailer.

Somebody said below also which proves my point that the receipt says nothing about eBay therefore it should work. If it doesn't work then buying it instore and online both wont work, as they use the same receipt. Nothing tells it apart.

Also as discussed below. It is worth going the eBay route with cashrewards as it beats it by a few bucks and you can possibly get $150 from LG, therefore no loss either way but possible gain in the end. Worth the risk.

        • @lplau: Yes you wont lose money if you buy from ebay and don't get the voucher but that doesn't mean you neg a post or say you can get a bonus like its guaranteed when you can not guarantee it will work. Anyway lets just agree to disagree

  • Iplau, can you please confirm how you got to $1134? Checked comment here before checking out so I appreciate any comparison as I'd prefer best deal. Yes re: UHD :)

    I get $1484 - 10% with code = $1336
    LG cashback 1336 - $150 = $1186

For UHD this is great value

    • I'm wondering too. Would be $1156 for me pickup.

  • So you buy it on eBay and use the cpickup 10% off code at checkout. Then after you pickup the TV you claim the $150 cashback. Its not the most complicated grift out there.

  • This is 820T is pre WebOS right? The 850T is same but with WebOS.

  • It would be great to not get the webos one.

    • Why?

    • You mean 820T vs 850T? Any reason?

This is no review but i too am interested in a new tv. My feelings are

      820T
+ less smart function. Some ppl dont need it

      850T
+ more smart function (even if u find webos not to your liking or just dont need it)
+ webos and upgraded processor - i have seen 850T multitask in the store and its great. Only possible with updated internals.
      + magic remote
+ what should be an updated panel

So i think if prices are same or similar, i would choose 850T.

      • Same here (though it all depends on your needs). The 850T also has 4 HDMI ports, which in my case is an extremely important advantage over the 820T with only 3.

        • I'm a little bit concerned about how widely available this model is on 2nd hand/refurbished condition. Indicates to me a high failure rate. Thinking me go Sony,

  • So read the T&C's carefully. Deal stands then I guess at $1334. Still great value.

Just as an FYI, with the facts, the difference between Good Guys deal and ebay is simply when you have access to the cashback "in essence'. For the ebay deal you get immediate 10% discount however you pay $1.60 premium for good guys to process the LG cashback. The original deal which is the cheapest by $1.60 gives you the LG issued cashback in about 5-6 weeks.

Just giving a comparison of the facts as per T&C's. Still a great deal offer that I ended up buying a couple minutes ago.

It just ticks the necessary boxes in terms of features that I really need. Cheers everyone for the commentary as it was constructive to say the least

    Regards, Nick

    • The Good Guys won't process any cashback, so I'm not sure what you're referring to. You're still better off buying from their ebay store using cashrewards. After you'll get your invoice you can then try your luck with getting the cashback from LG, it may just work. If it doesn't, you've still saved a few bucks this way.

    • Picked my 820T up. For those comparing the 850T picture is slightly more vivid supporting peoples comments. The Good guys receipt is legitimate. Love the tv and the magic remote

  • I just pickuped a dishwasher from a gg ebay transaction and the receipt that was printed out at the loading dock was for the full including 10% amount with nothing about ebay mentioned.

  • Yes receipt says nothing about eBay. Just checked. I reckon you'd get the cash back on top. Look the webos one isn't bad. I just don't like the magic remote and you have to add apps to work with Plex and stuff. Parents bought an lg webos one and I burnt 2hrs unsuccessfully trying to get a media server to work.

    • Yea thats what I'm trying to say. The end receipt they give you is a REAL TGG receipt which mentions nothing about eBay. Their system cannot handle eBay separately so they handle it in the same Transaction/Invoicing system as the rest of their company, therefore their receipt for all intents and purposes is the same as their instore receipts printed on a A4 piece of paper.

Which means even if you purchased it from eBay, you CAN claim the cashback from LG.

      • If you get delivery (even if not applicable to click & collect), it actually does state EBAY Delivery (or something to that effect) on the receipt, and I have successfully claimed cashbacks even with such receipts previously where the T&Cs clearly stated not valid for ebay purchases (not necessarily from LG). They could just mean to exclude non-official ebay sellers, while they still accept ebay purchases from official sellers, such as The Good Guys. There definitely is a good chance that you will get your cashback, though keep in mind that there is the possibility you may not. I'd go through ebay for this deal and try to claim the cashback for sure.

  • Pickup up a 55UB850T @ $1499 at Good Guys in store purchase using the EBAY Dick Smith price of $1666 less 10%

    • You may have done even better today if you own multiple amex cards & registered for the DJs cash back offer. Their one day 'sale' price today only is $1,529.

      http://shop.davidjones.com.au/djs/ProductDisplay?urlRequestT…

If you have 4 amex cards the rebate is $120, bringing it down to $1,409. Then the LG $150 cash back promo stacks on this deal. And get free delivery by DJs!

I'm heading to the local DJs in my break today to check it out.
