Terms and conditions for the ETA Refer a friend offer

New applicant - Open your first EveryDay Transaction Account (ETA) between 17/12/14 – 21/12/14, include the referrer’s ME Bank ETA Account number in the promotional code field and make 3 PayPass purchases of a minimum of $10 within 30 days of account opening and you will receive $50 into your ETA account within 30 days of your third eligible purchase. If you held an ETA prior to 17 December 2014 you are ineligible for this offer.

Referrer – You must have an ETA open prior to 16 December 2014. You will receive $50 for each new ETA customer up to a maximum of 10 new customers who make 3 PayPass purchases of a minimum of $10 within 30 days of account opening. $50 bonus will be credited to your ETA within 30 days of your friend fulfilling the 3 purchases of a minimum $10.

      • Now I can't even login to the website and getting that weird error "Incorrect customer id/access code combination".

        EXACTLY the same experience here. Also, a family member of mine had to call them to unlock online banking 3 times despite never entering the wrong access code.

        Whatever you do, do NOT, under any circumstances, even contemplate to make this mob your primary banking provider.

      The same thing EXACTLY happened to me. Seems like a few other people have had the same experience.

      Coincidence? I think not!!!

      • Hi gimmi, surely no coincidence. They are really dodgy. When I spoke to them last week, the rep told me a team leader is assessing my application and will call me back the next day. Nothing happened until today. I will call them again to complain.

  • I called up yesterday to follow up the non receipt of my card.
    The rep told me it would be sent to my home address, not my PO Box address… (I don't really want this.)
    The rep apologised for non receipt of the first card and said that there was a mail out problem from late December and said they'd get another one sent out and that it should arrive in the next 5-7 working days to my home address.
    They made a note on my file about the promotion, and said that if there was any problem with it for me to call back and refer to this note.
    The note indicated that they should look at the activation date on the card (wont be activated until I have received one).

    Interesting to catch up on this post. I have the same problem. Sign up on 18th Dec 2014 and never received the card. Received another letter on 19th Jan 2015 to remind me that I did not activate my card. I then ring them and complain that I never received any card. They said they will order a new card. I also asked about the $50 promotion, they said they have to follow this up with another dept. What an excuse. Today I received a card with the letter dated 19th Dec 2014 but the card number is difference from that on the internet. Ring them again and was told that was the old card. Again they put the blame on Aupost. This is ridiculous. Very dodgy.

  • ^ I revoked my negative, I called up and they mentioned that they will allow another 30 days to make the transactions.

  • card arrive 1 month late… call up complaint. they give me $50 with out any transaction :D

    had problems trying to access the account due to the password not working.

    here is what they sent the misses;
    Our Marketing Department have advised that you are eligible for the $50 cashback. They will organise to have $50 credited into your EveryDay Transaction Account within 30 days.
