  hi

  Question ? can I use this hard drive as external USB drive I have an ASTONE casing my recent SEAGATE HDD got corrupted and cannot get the RAW type converted to NTFS to get my data back … but anyways long story short can I use this as normal drive, if it has some special specifications for NAS or it is the same drive that normally one finds it in the external HDD casings…..

    yeh for sure its just a basic SATA drive. fit any normal 3.5" enclosure or mounting

    the NAS element just refers to some specific behavior of it 'parking' or turning off after a period of inactivity.
