Really great price for Sleeping Dogs, especially compared to retail where it has held its price ($78 most places).

  • BF4 on PSN US is $12

    • Not the premium ed

      • good point. sorry.

      • What's the difference?

        • The premium version comes with five multiplayer expansions

  • +3

Holy crap Dark Souls II on PS3 is $17.95!!

    https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-au/games/da…

Edit: Okay this sale is awesome, seriously this dominates the 12-days one so badly this is going to get huge.

Resonance of Fate is 50% off too, so many others, DMC HD Collection…

  • sweet. I missed out on pro evo. getting it now.

  • +4

Is it me or are the US PSN getting worse and the EU/AU PSN sales getting better? My vita's locked to my US account so it's a problem when the EU store has better discounts for vita games…sighs

    • I noticed that too. I started with AU PSN +, moved to US PSN + but recently have reformatted my Vita back to AU for reasons like this.

    • +2

Get another memory card for your AU account. Expensive, but worth it. Reset your vita, swap cards and away you go.

      • +1

Yeah, think I might have to start doing that….

        • I finally sucked it up and bought a 64 gig card for my AU store and will use my 16gig for the USA store. I bought the older Persona games for something like $5 each on the US store when they were over $55ea on the Au store. Crazy.

ETA: it only takes a couple of minutes to reset your Vita as well.

is murdered: soul suspect really as much as a broken mess as everyone says? i'm tempted to buy.

    • Personally, I enjoyed what I played of it. It was my first physical PS4 game I bought. Only played it 3 times though, but that's actually pretty good. Only played Watchdogs twice, GTA V once, Destiny once and so on. I can tell it's not a massive great super groovy WOW POW BAM game, but I personally really did enjoy it and do one day plan on playing it more and finishing it. Main character makes me want to get tattoos and be groovy too…

    • +1

I quite liked it for the most part, but with one big reservation… http://gamesblip.com/review-MURDEREDSOULSUSPECT.htm

      • +1

I have to agree with your reservation. Destroyed the game for my girlfriend who would have thoroughly enjoyed it if it wasn't for that mess. She quit not quite halfway through because of it. I tried to help her but the mechanic was just too broken to get around for me without aggravating me to the point where I just didn't want to do it anymore.

    • I played it through and had no major issues. I was actually surprised to hear how many problems my friend had with technical issues.

  • +4

Maybe this is to makeup for the 12 fails of Xmas sale :-P

    Some really good deals here!!

    Sniper Elite 3 $36.86
    Tomb Raider PS4 $24.95
    Sleeping Dogs PS4 $30.95
    Shadow Warrior $22.46 (Good fun!!)

And some crazy pricing if you are still rocking your PS3

Keen to see what they have for Part 2!

    • Still playing mine almost every night and I have a PS4 (which is untouched)

    • Who says there will be a part 2?

    • Yeah, wasn't super impressed with the Christmas sale, but managed to get Freedom Wars this morning after thinking of buying a physical copy from JB with a $20 gift card yesterday. Well waited.

  • Cheers!
Just picked up Sleeping Dogs & Tomb Raider

Fez for PS4 also appears to be free.

    • +1

      that is the trial version

    • +1

Fantastic, I only just got my PS4 and have been really looking forward to Fez. It's not even PS+ free, it's just free.

      • It was free on PS+ from memory before.

        • I can vouch for this, I think it was from last month or the month before PS+

  • +2

when will the sale end ?

  • Want Pure Pool for $7.50 but don't want to hand over my credit card details because of ridiculous Sony hacking. Why aren't there any $10 PSN cards like the US? :(

    • Use PayPal or if you're really paranoid, just take the card off once you're done or suck it up and buy a pre paid card and keep the extra money in your wallet next time you renew membership or another deal comes by

    • +2

Most recent hacking was completely different Sony Sector (Think of it as your body with cybernetic limbs, Someone hacks your left foot, they only have control of your left foot, not your right hand, so they cannot force you to play the hokey pokey). I can understand your spookedness though, but from what I have seen in the past, Sony tend to be up front about it a lot sooner and quicker than some similar companies that have been hacked (not to name names) ….

      • Your descriptions on this thread have been amazing. keep up the good work

      • Different part of Sony yes, but Sony PSN hasn't been free of large scale hacking either

        • +2

Hence the "Most recent hacking" and "Sony tend to be up front about it" parts of my comment.
The last time it happened, they came out about it much quicker than Microsoft did when their services were hacked. Pretty sure it was several months before Microsoft said anything about it.
Truth of the world is, bad things will happen, so I say place your bet on someone who you believe will do the right thing and try their best when it does, rather than someone who just tries to sweep it under the mat and pretend your details aren't out and about having a pic-a-nic in cyberspace.

  • Damn! I see some things I would like to pick up.

  • +1

Be careful - some of those games will be cheaper at the EB boxing day sales (by 95c). Also, as they are physical copies, you could trade them in later.
    (EB boxing day sales: https://www.ebgames.com.au/ps4/any/any/any/Boxing-Day-Sale?a…)

    • Just checked some of the Boxing Day prices out, am pretty mad-sad that a few I found are better than their Special Limited One Day Only A Year Cyber Monday prices…pretty sad-mad indeed cry grumbles

  • Is BF4 Premium worth picking up? Is there still a strong multiplayer community on PS4?

    • I played it about 2 weeks ago and the servers were full. Probably just as good now that people are on break.

  • +1

Might get Valiant Hearts for PS4 for A$7.55. Was looking at Amazon option for US6 for PC initially but would am trying to build up my PS4 library.

PS4 Metro Redux at A$30 compared to USD35 too… A$47 at EB's Boxing Day sale.

  • ratchet and clank q force vita is 9 bux

  • +2

Disgaea 4 half price! glad I waited! Reason I bought a vita

  • Is there anyway to buy on these games without having access to the PS4. I really want to pick up BF4

Edit: sorry should have properly searched first. For anyone else: https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/

  • Amazing price on bf4 premium
Already have bf4 but bought this anyway as just getting premium add on is $70!

  • +1

    Any recommendation for vita games?

    • +5

Well I can give you my opinion on what are my personal picks for the vita games on sale. Note that a few are from the 12 deals of Christmas which I can see from the online store as still discounted:

      • Danganronpa 2: Basically you have a group of students from a school sent to an island and are trapped there playing a dangerous game where basically to get off the island you have to kill off your classmates and get away with it. Hysteria, paranoia and panic is high and that's the reason why they end up falling on this path of killing each other. I'm not sure how much knowledge from the previous game is required because I haven't played this one yet and having only played the first game but its a twisted sort of adventure mystery game, think of the gameplay of Ace Attorney series on the DS. Look for evidence, investigate and go through trials to eventually narrow down whose the culprit. Not a game for everybody there's mainly options, interactions and dialogue but I really do like the game for its intriguing (and wacky) story.

      • Ys Memories of Celceta: Probably one of my favourites on the vita. Ys is a long running series from the late 1980s to now. There's 3 games on Steam store and an additional PSP game on the AU PSN store as well. The game is essentially an action rpg. You play the role of Adol Christin who is an adventurer who basically wakes up with no memory of who he is. He then must retrace his steps back in the Great Forest of Celceta to find orb that contain a fragment of his memories. The gameplay for this game is what is defined as hack and slash, its fast paced and real time but I can't help but find that fun to be honest. You have many side quests and your day job is also to help map out (explore) the forest as you adventure on to find the orbs. Expect boss battles in this game and well I personally like grinding but I'm not sure if this game is considered a grindfest but I don't believe it is so. Overall the storyline is straightforward (don't expect it to be groundbreaking or emotionally compelling because it isn't) and the game does sort of lack in the graphics aspect but it is enjoyable nonetheless.

      • Freedom Wars: Heard about that famous series called Monster Hunter which guarantees to sell 1 million+ copies in Japan? Most people will tell you this game is derived from the gameplay of Monster Hunter. Create your own character, then basically everyone in the game is born with a one million year prison sentence and its up to you to do quests/jobs to reduce that sentence. Now I was planning to pick this game up myself so I don't know a whole lot in detail about it to give you my opinion but these sort of games is fun as a multiplayer but its also not that bad by yourself. In quests you'll find yourself against boss like creatures and its essentially an action packed monster hunting (see what I did there) rpg. Other vita games that are similarly draws comparison to this Monster Hunter style would be Toukiden (new improved version coming out soon called Kiwami) and Soul Sacrifice.Definitely not a game for the story but for the gameplay and customisation.

      • Disagea 4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bh1cdWOK9DA This trailer. Watch it. Enough said. Though seriously, its one of the best trailers I've seen for a game. I haven't played it though but disgaea has games on the playstation consoles and the DS as well. It's a tactical/strategy role playing game and has that sort of classic rpg look to it, though that might be a deal breaker considering that means a kiddish anime design.

      • The Walking Dead Complete First Season : If I remember correctly this is based on the comics that was turned into a popular TV show. While I don't know much about the game or the series I have heard many great things about this game. Teltales games are point and click story games where the choices you make ultimately influences what route you take in the game. How it plays out or how it ends is up to you. This is one of those games you don't play for the gameplay but for the compelling story that will keep you interested and wanting more. Certainly not everyone's cup of tea but nonetheless for those who have tried it they seem to like it. Note that this game was/is also on sale on steam.

There are some games I'm not sure about because I don't know much about it to have a say but Rachet and Clanks was a favourite of mine on the older Playstation consoles, its quite fun (like Jak and Daxter and Spyro), but not sure what genre they are (platformer?). I've played Conception II but its hard to recommend considering it's nothing stellar (plus the general basis of creating star children is sort of strange albeit weird, but its a turn based rpg mixed in with a bit of social interactions that you make with the female protagonists). Akiba Strip is also a game that has a strange gameplay. Those games are definitely not going to be to everyone's taste. Same with Neptunia, which has the in my honest opinion nice character designs but not everyone is going to like the cutesy anime design.

Hopefully I've give you some idea of what games you can look into and if you do like them please do pick them up! They're pretty good prices to pick the game up at. Excuse the long post :P

      • Excuse the various english mistakes, clearly didn't proofread it. >>

    • Terraria – PlayStation®VITA Edition was AU $22.95 now $6.75
Frozen Synapse Prime was AU $25.95 noew $10.45

It really sucks that these deals are considered to be great for consoles. Compared to PC deals, these are all rubbish prices. Wish Console and PC prices were the same or just a bit closer.

  • It's Christmas day, there's good deals to be had, and the Playstation Store is down.

    • Pretty much all would be cheaper locally which is nice.

Couple of games that don't exist on AUS PSN though…

  • Thanks! Just bought Disgaea 4.

One of my favorite turn based strategy series for PS.

  • I've been trying to get on for 2 days. How'd you manage to just buy something?

    • It worked earlier this morning (when I saw this deal was around 4am) except for slow load times I managed somehow :P.

Was going to pick up another vita game just now but seems like the site is unavailable.

  • yeah damn PSN down due to inconsiderate hackers.

Hopefully they extend the sale to make up for these last couple of days.

    • I'd hope so.

  • Can't log in. No deal. Sony extend the promotion thanks.

  • Is Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishment any good? Is $36 (with PlayStation Plus) worth it? How does it compare to Murdered: Soul Suspect? I've never played either game and trying to choose one between the two…

  • Hey guys, is dragon age inquisition on the list worth buying? Its still $63.95, unsure to get the disc version ps3
