  • Crazy price! How about quality of the product?

  • Great price, but it's an inkjet. If you don't print much this would be a great deal. Always check the price of the cheapest cartridges.

My old Canon lasted about 8 years on 1 cartridge and in fact it still has ink, but the printer carked.

  • JB Hifi has it on sale for $23.80 (ticket price is $34) so this deal is an excellent price for a cheap printer. You can get both cartridges from Ebay for roughly $60. Won't be long before you buy the ink and get a free printer. lol

Bargain price just for a scanner.

does it comes with free ink inside? if it does, buy the printer, after ink finish, get another printer with ink as well. cheaper to do so, i guess.
    what do you think ?

The reviews on the Canon website suggest it doesn't come with a USB cable. I realise this doesn't answer your question, but I hope this helps.

      • That's true. I have been told that only HP printers come with cables. Any suggestions for cheap USB cable for this one ?

No, but I hope this helps.

The printer companies caught on to the trick of buying a new printer to get more ink a while ago.
Most printers now come with a "starter kit" of ink that is much less than a full tank in a new cartridge.

    • Looks like it does come with ink - Canon website lists under the 'in detail' tab:
      Included as Standard
PIXMA MG2560 printer, Setup CD-ROM and operational guide, 2 ink cartridges, sample photo paper, power cord and Canon warranty card

      • they will be the smaller starter cartridges though

        • How do you know, whenever I buy a new printer it shows estimated ink levels to be full usually.

        • @Davo93: full yes, but smaller… Canon held out for a long time - I believe they were the last manufacturer to go to starter cartridges in their consumer printers. There may be one or two exceptions but most are now starter size as far as I know.

  • Hi mate, the offer is not available in QLd nor i can see the printer in the catalogue. Can you please attach the pic from the catalogue? Thanks

    • Do you have the new catalogue starting on the 1st?

It should be online in the next day or 2

      • Yes, its available on the Big W website and i was in store today but couldn't found the deal. Thanks

here is the link for the new catalogue

        • That's not the new catalogue, this one starts January 1, so it wont be instore for that price yet (hence the title saying "From January 1"

        • Ah ok Thanks mate :)

  • Are these cartridges relatively easy to refill? Not "chipped"?

  • no stock left at maribyrnong. only display model available. :(

I have one "cant remember the brand" with colour and black inks, and when the one of the colours runs out, I cant print in black, always tell me one of the ink need to be replaced.
