  • So this is a complete diy kit? What material does it use, ABS?

    • Interested as well, looks like a great diy kit for the price

  • Am I just out of touch with technology these days? That setup in the clip is cool…But I can't imagine myself being able to make one of these printers…

This is just the electronics side of it. You'll still need a power supply, extruder, hot end and whatever framing you will base your printer on. Not to mention ballscrews, linear rails and high tolerance aluminium profiles. So this is far from a complete DIY kit.

    • Glad somebody knows what they're on about here :D

You need at least 6-700 dollars more in parts to make this a 3d printer.

  • If you want a complete kit. This is not a bad start. Decent size print volume. I bought one of these and have modded it to get it to print some fairly accurate and complex jobs. I added a separate power supply and heatbed for ABS. Also added precision ballscrews and a better hotend. Best thing about it is I printed all the required mounting brackets for all the modifications. This kit is supported worldwide so there is an abundance of information on how to fine tune and mod it. Thingiverse.com is full of files to print for improving the machine. Worth having a look at. I got the manager down to $899.
