Hi

This is my first post however, have been using the site for a while.

I was looking for a sports watch with GPS and found this deal for a Navig8r S20 GPS watch at Laser. I ordered a few for my kids and they just arrived. The prices keep changing on a daily basis as it must depend on their stock levels.

They appear to have 3 watches on sale.

  What is the battery life like ? I imagine GPS means recharge every day or two.

    Looking at the videos on the page, I do not think this displays your route.

    This is not a cheap version of the garmin fenix, more like a GPS logger with watch and barometer.

      Yes it displays the route on Google Maps once you download the data to your PC.

        You able to grab any screens of what the software looks like? How's the functionality? Does it just show you you're current run or does it allow you to compare to previous runs and track progress etc?

        Edit: Also interested to know if the watch/software shows average time per km and a split up of time per km?

        I would be interested as well. I downloaded the laser gps 10.0 software from company website. It looks very basic, but has a lot of details in there.
        I could not find a good comprehensive review of the watch.

  So what's the experience been with these so far for tracking runs and the included software? Tossing up between one of these or one of the more expensive Nike+ etc.

  Battery lasts 7 hours with gps does that mean you can turn it off? and just use as a watch

  If you've used the watch already - do you have any comments about how quick to locate and accurate the GPS is?

    It took about 2 mins to search for GPS satellite when you switch the GPS on from indoor mode. I have not tested accuracy. I'm inside now and it's still locked onto GPS.

    My kids are 11 and 12. The watch fits ok when tightened most of the way.
