Got some from the previous sportsdirect deal, excellent quality for 1 dollar a piece, great deal!

    • Also if you got a voucher from the previous deal the $100 free shipping is calculated before the voucher is applied, so spend $101, apply $20 voucher, pay $81 with free shipping.

      • did it work for you that way? The last one was 20% off everything. So you had to spend at least $125. With the 20% discount, this will go down to $100 which will still be eligible for free shipping.

      • How did they give out the voucher? I did not receive one.

        • I got a voucher by email which had a long number and pin. I did have to wait a while for the voucher. I got an email saying i would get one once the order was shipped, but as I had some stuff on pre-order i had to wait for that. The voucher was supposed to be $20, but when it came it was for 10 Pounds, which when I entered it only came up as $16, but still very happy anyway.

    • excellent quality

Just must have gotten different shorts/shirts than me. Quality is acceptable, but no better than the stuff you find and K-Mart, Best&Less etc. Still, very good value for money

      • He said

excellent quality for 1 dollar a piece

  • Crying right now, just made a $100 order 3 hours ago!

    • +1

If I'm not mistaken you can still cancel while the order is being 'processed'

      • Just had a closer look. Fortunately it's stuff that I got from last sale. Probably would have added a few 1 or $2 things but not the end of the world when I'd be risking losing some of my other stuff.

      • +2

No don't do it don't cancel it's just the beginning lol

    Review of Sports Direct

Spent over $300 got at least 250 items mostly Slazenger gear shoes sandles etc top notch quality two weeks to arrive on each order.

Came in big bags really massive bags with each and every order package in tough bags with tags and plastic around each and every item.

Highly Recommended great for gym wear…. Managed to fill up my wallrobe I have no more room and still have 30 items unwrapped lol nowhere to put them all lol

    • +5

Omg. I thought I was insane when I spent about $100 because the amount of clothes that came at one go was massive. I highly recommend them as well - good quality, obscenely cheap clothes.

      • +12

Donate to kids in Africa who have no clothes.

        • An aside: last time I donated clothes to a charity for emergency relief, I later found out that, no, the clothing will not go to the people needing help.

The clothing would go to shops. They would sell the clothes eventually. The money would go back to the charity.

So, no, as that was an emergency, I wouldn't be helping anyone I'd intended :S Nor would I be increasing the money that the charity was directing to the emergency :(

  • Bought a whole heap of stuff! Thanks op!

  • +3

Made orders too. Very happy with everything I have purchased so far. Disappointed I didn't get more.

  • +34

I've picked up so many babes in my Slazenger three quarter trackies

    • Got like 85 pieces from 100 AUD purchase from previous purchase
I know what my christmas present will be wrapped on…

  • +6

Lol my family thought I was insane then the orders hit they all thought Slazenger signed me up for an endorsement deal. Hey when it's cheap and great quality I can't say no… I have enough gym wear to last me 6 months without doing the laundry. Summer wear to last me for 5 years spent $300 for me and my family great deal.

  • For the people who have bought before, do they ship via Royal Mail?

    • +1

I don't think so email before purchasing.

      • +1

Thanks, I'll try emailing, I mainly use Parcel Collect with AusPost

    • +2

Aus Post delivered mine, I think the majority who ordered also had their orders delivered by Aus Post but a few did mention theirs were delivered by DHL.

  • +16

Shame my whole wardrobe is one brand now. I have to start walking around with a Slazenger tennis raquet and headband so people will think I'm sponsored rather than obsessed.

    • +3

Get a Slazenger neck tat. It'll be awesome.

  • +3

Don't forget a cheap full-size cricket bat for summer ;-)
Mine arrived today. Not bad for $14.

    • +1

Only size H. IIRC that's roughly sized for a 14yr old?

      • +1

        Perfect for the office :)

  • Did anyone get something that he/she didn't order or some items missing?

I have this problem from previous orders and waiting for a response from them. Wondering what PayPal will say if I open a case regards the missing item!.

    • +1

I had one piece missing from my order but didn't bother contacting them

  • $27.98 shipping to metro melbourne for 1 pair of shorts that were $1 …..

    • +3

You choose express shipping you need to do standard for $9.98

      • Wooops my bad I clicked the first one assumung it was standard

    • Choose standard shipping.
Edit: Did not see the reply earlier.

  • it's charged in AUD right? so paying with amex on paypal has no international surcharge correct?

  • +3

Just an FYI. Many of these shorts come with built in mesh undies. Makes them unwearable for me. I cut them out of one pare for a trial which works for a $1 pair of shorts.

    • +20

      bonus! two for one.
now you also have a pair of mesh undies!

    • I should have said I pared them out of 1 pair.

    • Hence the name?

    • "Makes them unwearable for me."

Aye, and me too hombre; in fact, I can't imagine how any (non-incontinent adult) could wear these shorts comfortably, due to the "sewn in mesh nappy" with elastic round each leg… I literally could not stand walking even a few metres. Lucky most of my order was other stuff, all of which I'm very happy with for the price. I'll be cutting out the 'mesh nappy', as recommended by the bigpal. As he said, a legitimate course of action for a $1 pair of shorts…

    • +3

Most running shorts will have the mesh part. Means you don't have to wear "proper" undies and get sweaty down there.

    • +1

Yes, mesh keeps the vegetables crisper and you don't need to wear these;-)

  • +4

This large amount of cricket gear seems like a good deal for a school/club purchase - http://au.sportsdirect.com/slazenger-u-15-kit-cricket-bag-85…

    • I ordered this kit in the last deal. Waiting for delivery. I'll see how good the quality is of all the gear.

  • Thanks, placed a big order

  • +8

Holy…just when I thought I had enough Slazengers…If I see peeps on the street wearing Slazengers, I will give them an OzBargain wave…wait - do we have an official OzBargain wave or some hand gesture??? LOL…

Wasn't sure if I fit a L or XL, so bought 1 of each on the stuff I liked…heck, at $1, I could give the clothes I don't fit to charity.

    • +2

Suggested Ozbargain wave - Hold hand out with palm up, rub thumb & 2 fingers together. Be careful who you "wave" to or they might think you're propositioning them!

  • Thanks OP. Got some full length trackies this time around.
Great experience with them last time.

  • +3

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/171072 this deal is still running and not expired :) link is still working

    • Yes but apparently that link was expired over a month ago when this post was made, so the OP and that link suddenly unexpired his post after seeing this.

      • +1

The post was marked as expired, not sure by who…..The link I am referring to as still working is the one linking to rock bottom prices of sportsdirect which is http://au.sportsdirect.com/rock-bottom-prices

      • A moderator probably marked it as expired this year but I am pretty sure that was not more than 10 days ago since I still used the link in that post for my 3rd order….details below

        Order number
        SDAU40000013194846
        Order status (More+)
        Awaiting Courier Pickup
        Order date/time
        31st Dec 2014 23:40
        Order total
        $100.48

        • Hmm I dunno then. I also though this was a dupe but I got told the other deal which you linked was expired when this was posted and then suddenly unexpired

        • +2

"Hmm I dunno then. I also though this was a dupe but I got told the other deal…"

Sheesh dudes, who cares, really… The point is, this deal is awesome, and amazingly it continues to 'work' (with slight variations in available stock etc.). I can add my voice to the collective above, re the quality of the stuff relative to the price paid. It's unbelievable/ I'm still not sure why/how this stuff is being sent at this price. Except the shorts with the mesh nappies sewn in. That seems like some sort of bad joke.

        • Yes, not sure why people are so hung up on the technicalities of duplicates but I'll explain:

          • Original Post on November 22.
          • Around Dec 7, the $1 prices were no longer there and was marked expired (either a mod or power user or OP)
          • This deal was posted Jan 9.

          Per our duplicate guideline exceptions:

The original deal is older than one month, and was expired or sold out between then and now.

Thus why this deal is not a duplicate. However, the OP of the original post (I think OP or maybe PU) keeps removing the expiry. So then people see the original and report it as a duplicate and we keep retaining the original expiry.

        • @neil: Thanks for the info Neil….But am pretty sure the $1 prices were always the because I always check them before finalizing my order On Jan 1st. I had a total of 3 orders now, all more than $100. If you go to au.sportsdirect.com.au in December, maybe you won't see those $1 deals but if you click the link in the Nov22 post, you will always be directed to the Rockbottom deals

        • @James030609:

I'll take your word on that. The only information I can give is that on 07/12/2014 - 16:24 a moderator marked the deal as expired. Since the original deal was shown as expired thus this post is not a duplicate.

        • @neil: No Offense Neil but there might be something wrong with the system or software used. Reading through the comments in the original post, Ozbargainers were still ordering more than a week after the 7th Dec. Maybe it was January 7th (2 days ago)?

        • @James030609:

No it was definitely marked expired Dec 7. It's in the logs plus I saw the expired tag marked as so. Whether in actuality, the deal was expired is another question.

I'll see if the moderator who marked it expired can chime in…if he remembers.

        • @neil: all good mate, link provided by OP seems to be different from mine thought items are similar and priced at $1. Is it just me or are you also seeing only 14 items marked as $1?

        • @James030609:

OK, I've now discussed with other moderators and figured out exactly what happened.

So James, your deal got automarked as expired by the system which is done to every deal after 45 days unless marked as long expiry OR there is an expiration date. So the same guideline applies. I believe the system will continue to expire your deal so we'll just leave it be.

Is it just me or are you also seeing only 14 items marked as $1?

          Not sure what you mean?

        • @neil: I understand, thanks Neil.

        • @neil: This deal has a link to 14 items priced at $1…..Link from original post list 31 items priced at $1, should I repost that deal?

        • @GnarlyKnuckles: With the amount of Slazenger brand clothing they are selling I'm imaging a warehouse the size of an aeroplane hangar.

        • @James030609:

Have added link to this deal. Cheers!

wearing my dollar shorts right now lol

  • In my experience the orders take about 2 weeks to arrive. I'm not a fan of the Omni tracking system. I ordered $40 worth of things which cost $10 postage on 30th December. I can't complain though as I bought 12 pairs of $1 shorts which is unheard of these days. The mesh inside the shorts is a tad annoying but for a $1 I'm happy. Even if these shorts were on sale here you'd pay $5.

    • Yea the mesh is so annoying.

  • Abit pricey… but don't forget your wrestling underwear.

  • +4

Damn I just wasted so much money

  • +1

Don't get the $2 check style shorts as the material is shiny, the $1 shorts have a matte finish and are much better. Everlast sandals for $2 are great value very comfy, they are in US sizes even though the site mentions otherwise. The polo shirts are very good IMO better than the T-shirts. I also got some great baseball caps they had on sale for $7-8.

Have made 6 orders in total received 5 of them already with nothing missing, last order was made on 2/01/15 so still waiting for that to arrive in the next week or so.

    • Are you sure? I bought the Everlast sandals and every single one was UK size. (ie. I got a size 8UK that fits my size 8.5-9US feet).

      • Yep, I normally wear size 10 US so ordered size 10 UK just to be safe and they fit perfectly. I also ordered size 9 UK for my dad which should be size 10 US according to their sizing chart and they're way too small for my feet.

    • Are the Polo's sizing/fit similar to the T's?

      • Yes same size and similar fit.

  • thanks OP, got some new going out clothes

  • Great deal the shorts are really comfortable to run in and the shirts are great quality. For the shirts I did notice the sleeve parts to be a little tight around my arms for the medium size, so if you have massive guns go large maybe.

  • -2

Donate to the snith family where they also need cloths.

  • +3

    Thanks OP!

got a bunch of shorts and 3/4 shorts, a heap of tshirts and a couple pairs of the everlast sandals !!

You couldn't shop this cheap at Kmart!

    • +1

You won't like the (short) shorts cause of the sewn in nappies, but you'll love the rest of the stuff… particularly the $2 "Everlast" sandals (as long as you ordered the right size)… I suppose they will not, ACTUALLY last forEVER, but anyways… I got some delivered a couple of weeks ago, and they're REALLY comfortable. Way better than thongs.

  • -4

These guys are extremely deceitful…. I bought some shorts in the last dollar sale. The shorts that arrived were extremely small. They refuse to exchange them, citing "out of stock" as the reason. And here they are having another $1 sale.

  • +2

just be aware everything is polyester, shirts, shorts.

    • +1

It's interesting that they changed the description to 60% cotton, 40% polyester. The T-shirts I received last month wrongly display 95% cotton on the inner tag. This isn't a 95% cotton garment!! 60/40 would be more accurate.

    • +1

Not sure why this got downvoted, its true most of the items contain a lot of unpleasant non breathable polyster. Maybe

    • The white T-shirts along with a few of the other colours have 100% cotton written on the tags.

      • hmmm my grey ones a 60/40. I'd double check but i cut out the 2ft of tags from the inside

        • Just checked mine again grey marl and charcoal marl are a 60/40 whereas the white, navy and blue shirts are 100% cotton.

  • Snorkel set 4 bucks, cobra golf visor 7 bucks, $1 shorts? Sweet! Also, 3 bucks for a bag of GU chomps! Thanks OP

  • +1

Tried to add 20x blue shirts, 20x grey shirts but it says: Quantity exceeds maximum allowed. Can you only buy 24/25 items?

    • I think so. Happened with me too

    • You probably can only add 24 items from the Rockbottom prices ($1 $ $2 ones). In order to reach $100 and get free shipping, other items should not be from the $1 & $2 items. The only time this was unlimited was during the first few days this deal was posted back in November 2014, see post here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/171072. Link to the sale items is still working…. http://au.sportsdirect.com/rock-bottom-prices

      • wrong, I ordered 91 items, all $1 & $2, and got free shipping. Though each style+colour+size combination was, by choice (not knowing any quantity restriction), added at 15 items max.

        • +1

They removed the 24 max items restriction about a week ago when their sale went from 'Rock Bottom Prices' to 'Wharehouse Clearance' sale. Although I have noticed that sometimes the website won't let you order more than 24 items for some reason.

  • +3

This deal was never expired. My last purchase was just before new year.

  • Very good deals. Thanks OP

  • I enjoyed my last order, that was pretty good, now ordering again, thanks OP.

  • What does mixed fibres mean ? Is it polyester ?
