      I think it's what psychologists call "projection". People see free education on offer, realise that they could improve their job security/earning potential/job satisfaction through training, then suddenly realise they're too lazy to do anything with it, and rather than deal with their own failings they project that hate on to TightArse/the OP.

      If you'd rather not feel discomfort when faced with your own failings, there's a "Hide" button on this page that'll hide future Udemy deals from you and protect your delicate feels. ;-)

        No it's just these education courses are primarily low quality, marketed by self taught know it all's usually with no qualifications in the subject they are preaching. Maybe if the poster had experienced the course/read through the e-book and could offer some insight, or read through a number of legitimate reviews. However I will be complying with Tightarses suggestions and hope some quality courses will be on offer in the future for those would want to learn well and from guru's in the subject matter, not armchair experts.

        I would find it embarrassing attempting to deceive others and portray myself as an expert for the sake of making some cash, or release e-books which are simple copy paste web-page slideshows. No need to to be condensing to those which choose their information sources wisely and feel the need to warn others. Feel free to wallow in the free information provided, by Udemy, corporations and the government :)

          I agree with Davo93. I went through some 20 odd udemy courses that interest me and none of them actually I would describe as good quality (some are far from decent and full of with opinions/errors) . While $0 makes it a financial 'deal'…. wasting time like this makes me stop subscribing to udemy altogether.

          i would say, some youtube channels are more informative since a few of them are actually done properly by professors / people qualified in that field/industry.

          LOL! I kind of agree.I have found one or two hidden gems in there but most are exactly as you say. I can usually tell that a course is not worth it just by viewing the presenter's bio or scrolling through a sample lecture.

          But about 95% of Ozbargain postings are for stuff I don't want. What is the deal with those expensive andy coloured batteries they keep posting?! :-o

          But for me, part of the fun of OZbargain is finding the hidden gems amongst the rubbish - kind of like going to a garage sale or Salvos. ;-)

    I hate, er dislike, these course postings simply because I have never seen a Udemy course which I consider to be of commercial quality.
    I love though the the OP pointed out I can block this store. Can't figure out how to do it though. Can anyone give me a pointer. Is there a Udemy course on how to do this?
