    So sad. I like 'm!

  • +11

    I like these posts.

  • +8

Indeed it is sad that people get tall poppy syndrome from their own lack of contribution to ozbargain…

  • +4

why would there be any negativity? I like these posts!

    • Go read some posts in the site discussion forum

  • +1

I am not negative about the deals from you, and in fact would not have known about Udemy without your posts, but the forum post where the reps can post their so called udemy deals is a spammers delight. they must love a high value/high traffic site that lets them post links to their deals (and every few days or week post again and again). I think that should disappear.

    • +2

A deal is a deal. A free course is a bargain.

      • +3

yep but the ones in the forums are 50% off, 90% off Bargain bargain bargain, buy me now sales type posts. TightArses deals are fine.

    • Udeal deals from Store Reps (essentially their own courses) have been banned from appearing as a "Deal"
Should be banned on forums too.
I agree those ones are spam. Free ones, people can decide if its useful and sign up for it.

    • Treat the offering as you would the adds on TV, certain furniture store sales, carpet store, Habersdashery, ok sove we waste a little time following the thread but now we know what is ansd what is.

As you said later WE ALL LOVE TA's WORK.

      • I think people have misread what i said. I think tightarses posts are great. But the forum posts from reps should be banned as it's just a place where they spam spam spam.

  • +8

    Please don't stop.

    • +10

      That's what she s
      Never mind.

  • +10

Thanks TA for udemy posts. Please don't stop if few people don't like. Lot of oz bargain fellows like your posts. Please keep good work.

  • +3

    Thanks TA

  • +8

I find it astounding people can bitch and whine about someone pointing out actual discounted to free content. Sorry you have had any of that TA and I thank you for all your contributions. The ebook posts in particular have been a blessing.

    • +4

      ^ Yep!

      100% agree.

The logic is broken on why there's any issues here.

  • +10

I like these posts as well.

But of course, this is why we can't have nice things.

People come here because it's voluntary and not compulsory.

I really find it difficult to fathom, or even understand how, if you don't like these posts, to just ignore them? It's mind blowing to think otherwise. Completely, bewildered!

Disappointed by this, but, oh well.

    Love the post TA!

  • +4

Keep at it TA.. ignore the idiots..I have got a few free courses by reading your posts

  • +6

"Learn Excel Macros, Buttons & VBA To Control Excel Data." - No longer free

  • +1

Code not longer valid for - Learn Excel Macros, Buttons & VBA To Control Excel Data.

    • +1

Bugger. one i wanted as well.

      • Me too….:(

  • +5

What? Don't stop! These are my favourite things you post. You're like the only resource to find this kind of education for free. Ignore the haters please it's the internet!

  • +4

Please continue posting. I upvote your posts each time.

  • +2

I appreciate your posts. I find the time to do the courses and I enjoy them. Often they are not advanced but are interesting.

  • +6

Ignore the haters. As long as you get +1 or greater, your post is appreciated by someone.
    +58 and rising so far.

  • +1

Ditch Auto photography course has been free for a very long time…They have too many other unknown tutors asking for far too much for courses offering little 'extra knowledge' that they should be offering for free (in the area of photography)

  • +2

Hmm well it was good whilst it lasted.

    Haters gonna hate. Tall poppies.

Proof that even modding/censoring doesn't really work. When will OzB learn to just let the '-' hide a silly comment. Neg a comment if it's stupid. Not because you disagree but because it's not relevant or appropriate. The cap on number of negs a user can do per month is counterproductive. It's just letting trolls have free reign.

Oh well, seems it's downhill from here. TA's massive contribution is no more. Maybe he'll start his own site and there won't be any comments. Just retweets and likes to help spread the word.

  • +5

haters are always around, TA, please give NULL farks to them and go on.

    • I see you have a fruitful garden, you seem to give out way to many farks.

    • Inb4 negs by fanboys.

…says the dropkick who has posted (wow) three deals.

    • +2

Why does someone have to actually DO the course to be able to +1 the deals/posts, or simply be appreciative of them being posted?

I know you're just trolling, but my post is directed at anyone who whinges about certain deals being posted, just because they don't find it useful for themselves. Such small, selfish little minds.

What saddens me most is that there's so much hate towards something, which, if you step back and actually acknowledge WHAT these deals are actually for… is pretty freaking invaluable. Education. Free courses to learn things spanning so many categories.

If you don't respect or appreciate the sharing of educational opportunities like this (whether you choose to make use of them yourself or not), then hide the deals or scroll past.

Unless you guyz need a $0 Udemy Course on 'How To Scroll Past Those Annoying Udemy Course Posts Without Wanting To Throw A Hissy Fit & Neg Or Complain About Said Posts'..?

Mabbe we can help you find that course.

      TA?

  • +5

Don't stop! I've got heaps of these courses lined up. I'll start them one day.

  • +3

The people complaining about free education are incapable of finding the "Hide" button under the Udemy deals which will hide them from their feed.

I think it says more about their character and abilities than yours, Tightarse.

  • +6

    I like them also.

    Please don't stop!!!!!!

  • +2

Thanks as per always TA :)

  • +1

    +1 for the don't stop.
haters can just ignore (and with enough drugs, you can ignore the haters…or not give a damn), but……….. without you, we (and I'm being selfish) have to do the hard work.

Please don't stop. I'm lazy, and need your help to do the hard work.

Actually, could you do the courses for me as well?
    Ta, TA.

  • +2

I don't know what negative issues he is talking about.

  • +2

    Please don't stop TA.

I started my journey to getting certifications related to my job with a udemy course you posted. Now I hold 4 certifications from different vendors.

  • +3

    +1 don't stop

  • +3

+1 please don't stop. Don't give in to the haters. I built my first webpage using what I learned from my free Udemy courses.

  • +3

Don't stop TA, please please don't stop posting! there are always going to be sour-sops who will try and ruin it for everyone :(

  • +3

I appreciate the share dude… if you didn't post these ..I wouldn't know about them….please don't mind of the trolls and keep up the good work !!!!

  • only have 4M ADSL shared with other gamer…really cant watch streamly. wish there is a way to download them slowly…..guess have to sign up a ADSL just for myself…

  • +1

+1 Full support for the great work you are doing TA. I have fully / partially completed quite a few courses now and most are actually quite useful.

  • +4

This is likely my final Udemy post, as there's just too much negativity around me posting them.

    NOOOOOOO

TA please don't stop posting these deals. You can see how popular they are, and the one or two idiots who rain on the parade probably don't like anything else in life anyway. Don't listen to the losers!

    • -1

Acting like the world will stop. Build a bridge and get over it.

There's better deals being posted, even by TA himself. These courses are close to useless no offense intended.

  • +2

This is why many people don't post any deals, tell us about little known sites/sales/freebies….because there are more than a few here who are insistent on negging/badmouthing/belittling/those who try to share something that may be of use for someone(i know that is why i am beyond hesitant at sharing anything on here….did it a few times, never again….. i read what some here say to those brave enough to post, and if it is not in the right place/not paragraphed/not cheap enough/not spelled correctly/not valid enough/unknowingly posted after someone beat you to it,therefore making it doubled up (need i go on?),you are sacrificed with no remorse.
The fact that you have mentioned this (as a fairly popular contributer)may be the "wakeup" that a few here need to either think about their actions and amend them accordingly….or eff off and go be an Ahole elsewhere. It would serve some right for you to stop posting TA (and make newbies wonder if it is worth being on here with the possible ramifications of sharing a deal that some will shoot down like a bloodsport).

  • +1

Thanks, appreciate the posts. Ignore the whingers, their words only have any value if you heed what they say.

  • +3

Hi sulmar, waterlogged turnip & others.

Just want to set the record straight. I've posted 1157 deals, of which 72 have been for Udemy. I'd like to think the other 1085 deals have been just as helpful to the community. As I've said more than once, I don't understand the negativity regarding Udemy & eBook deals in forums & PMs. I still can't fathom why people don't just block the deals.

On one hand I want to keep posting these, but on the other, I don't want to be remembered as solely a Udemy or eBook poster, even though I'm clearly not. I know haters will always be haters, but I've learned quite a bit over the past 6 months on OzB and to be honest, I just want to keep the peace.

I'll weigh up the pros & cons eventually, and make a decision whether to continue with these types of posts.

Happy New Year to you all :)

  • +1

Ozbargain would not be a bargain place without you Tightarse ! Pls keep contributing which will help keep ours tight too ! Any post by you is always read by me. I just hope i can release methane musically one day !
