"HP Reseller" means Harvey Norman, Joyce Mayne, Domayne, JB Hi Fi, Dick Smith, The Good Guys and
Officeworks retail stores and HP Online Store in Australia. All other resellers in Australia are excluded.

Thanks for that.Maybe then people could price match from the eligible resellers and get for $348.

  • I'm struggling to see why anyone would buy this over an Asus T100, for the same price its got a larger 64GB drive, microSD slot, M$ Office, and its a hybrid that can be charged with a phone charger.

    • This has 1x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0, 1x HDMI v1.4a where the Asus only has 1x USB and Micro HDMI. Also you you can price match at officecworks and then get the $50 cashback.

    • I think T100 is overpriced for its spec, it was meant to be a budget tablet. If you look at its screen or how badly the weight is distributed with the keyboard dock, you will understand what I mean by that. With that in mind, I think spending little bit more for this tablet isn't a bad choice, if you want that extra quality.

EDIT: I personally think that there are things that are not written on the paper that might be important, I think the things that sets Pavilion X2 from T100. As I mentioned keyboard dock for t100 felt horrendous compared to Pavilion X2. Screen quality is said to be awful with t100 as well. This being said, I think Pavilion X2 is a reasonable choice just as much as how reasonable T100 is in terms of what you said.

      • I have the T100 and i hate it. I wish i never bought it.

      • I too think the T100 is overpriced now, I got one in 2013 for not much more than they're selling now, they did raise the CPU speed slightly though, the keyboard is a bit cramped but I find the IPS screen has pretty good viewing angles.

@dlakers3peat: So you would know the T100 also has a USB3 port.

        • I think the ones that are sold now still are the old version by the looks of it (the ones I saw from Harvey Norman webpage had z3740, the new ones you are talking about have z3775).

Meh, I think t100 is a budget choice, if I were to spend money on tablet, I'd get X2 because of what I said before, but I don't dismiss t100 as a bad choice.

I simply see X2 to be better for the reasons I've said, I simply thought the screen was very… dark and lackluster compared to other IPS screens. Also about the keyboard, I simply didn't like the feel of it, not to mention it felt really unstable as I was typing things in store (that being said, it might be me being used to Surface Type Keyboard and a relatively decent membrane keyboard). Also x2 seems to have microSD card support like t100. I don't know, I saw X2 at JB Hi-Fi today and it looked very solid, unlike the impression I got from t100. Only reason that I wasn't interested in it too much was that I already have a Surface Pro and I'd like to have something 8 inch sized that I can write stuff on (I am looking forward to new Note Tablet line for that reason).

    • Also, I have been reading reviews on windows tab, X2 apparently has microSD slot as well (I'd check before getting it though, just to be sure.)

      • T100 has a micro sd slot

        • It was not clear whether x2 did or not, I had to find reviews and stuff to check. :) No biggie.

  • does office work even sell this. . i tried looking before but couldnt find anything :(
