I can see the download button..

    • Same here…on iPad. Maybe try a different browser?

Works here (both Chrome + Firefox on PC). Blue button.

    EDIT:

You get sent to OkayFreedom's site which was listed in the readme.txt. Enter your email and they send you the code.

  • Works fine for me

  • Thanks OP!

  • Worked fine for me. How do I get the unlimited one? It says that mine is limited to 500MB. Am I missing something?

    • I entered my e-mail address and now I am waiting for the code :)

      • Where do i get my code?

  • thanks OP. got the code immediately :) d/l, installed and activated.

  • Works and managed to unlock the one year deal easy enough, download speed was between 10-15Mbps on 114/2Mbps cable connection and ping was low to high 200's ms with a USA location.

  • Thanks OP, actually accidentally had the VPN active and couldn't upvote at first! Seems to work just fine, grabbed it incase I ever come across a situation where I'll need to stream than the VPN.sh free deal.

What's the difference between this and something like the free Hola plugin?

Call me crazy, but I'm negging this "deal" out of protest against the OP for sockpuppeting.

Take note of the 3 main websites OP has submitted deals for:

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/windowsdeal.com (50 deals posted!)
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/topsoftbargains.com (10 (100% for this site) deals posted)
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/tipradar.com (7/8 deals posted)

Also he posted 2 giveaways to another site: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/125656 & https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/117981

Which all share the same adsense ID of 5409885391075512 (view source easily finds these linked - and any one user can have only 1 adsense ID, no one else). I don't think this is just a coincidence - in fact it's far too obvious that it's no coincidence, and I think this user is very craftily posting a suspicious amount of deals from these stores, amongst other deals and posts.

For this reason, I find it highly unlikely that the OP is not just using OzBargain as a gateway to harvest links quickly and easily from unsuspecting bargain hunters without declaring his affiliation with the stores.

I'm prepared for a backlash, but it's pretty clear what he's doing and I personally won't go along with it.

      Thanks for letting us know!
I do a similar thing for a site I staff, and it's an endless unpaid job.

    • Neg away, but if you are really concerned, just press the report button and advise the mods of the issue you raise.

      Nice detective work

(BTW I have just made the report so they can make the decision)

      I think that it's still a deal, I wouldn't have known otherwise

That's some crazy detective work brezzo!! Seems MasterIM has disabled his account thanks to you.

Urgh, been hanging around for a free vpn deal for a while, finally found one but no OSX :(

You don't need to go through windowdeals.com. You can enter your email address directly into https://www.okayfreedom.com/specials/windowsdeal/of

Most likely they will still get some referral bonus for doing this, but it's better than giving them traffic (I guess)

Tried them when they had the same deal a while ago. Slow as molasses. Don't bother if you want to stream/torrent.

    • So is there a good alternative?

      • Nothing free, I use Cyberghost and quite happy with it (paid), perhaps there will be another deal up in the future.

      • To be honest, I haven't found one that is close to non-VPN speeds. ATM I use VPNArea, they are acceptable (about 70-80% of normal speeds). The software they supply is not that great, but you can use OpenVPN.

      • NordVPN have a 70% off deal ATM but I couldn't tell you if it's a bargain. I can tell you their service is good, speeds and CS.

    • Speed has improved a little for me, since the deal that was released in Dec…

      Able to stream BBC iPlayer..

  • I noticed that browser plugin Hola no longer works on Hulu. Do these dedicated software solutions still work?

    • +2

FYI: I use UnoTelly for Hulu & Netflix without issue.

  • Cheers op

  • Great product, thanks.

    HEY THERE!
Just be aware that you get a version of FoxyDeal, disguised as OkayFreedom extension on your browser.
While it says it's an extension to help you switch locations, etc, in fact it's just a bloody ADWARE!

I'm still considering if I'm going to uninstall the whole thing, or just disabling the extension will work for me. Can you trust a VPN that pushes you an ADWare (it's not like those apps that "silently" pushes you something that you didn't noticed during the installation, it's FoxyDeal, and it's embedded using OkayFreedom name on it).

  • WTH. It says code has already been redeemed.

    • Same - deleted
