  • just wait for myers offer then…… 248 dollars - better warranty?

    • Our iPod Touch 8GB is AU stock, you can claim warranty directly from Apple Australia or ShoppingSquare.

this is bs if you restock the dsi and not the ipod touch

  • please restock danilochan

    • Our supplier doesn't have extra iPod for us to sell at that price, so I can't restock this time.

  • i thought ipod touch comes in at last hour? howcome it is sold now?

  • -4

sold out in 3 mins, no difference from catchoftheday.

    • +1

      And?

Tings tend to sell out quickly during a sale, especially when they are at very cheap prices.

  • -2

Isn't the iPod a crap deal. its $199 with free shipping via Apple online store.

This one is $178 + shipping ($18 for me). It's only $3 cheaper isn't it?

    • check again

    • $199 is for the US apple store

    • The shipping is only $10 if you pay by Paypal Express.

    • The Australian Site has refurbished 1st gen touchs for $199 & refurbished 2nd gen touchs for for $219. It doesn't sell refurbished 3rd gen touchs. The people who got one from shoppingsquare did very well for themselves.

      • shoppingsquare's was refurbished stock ? not sure if i'm missing the point.

  • Apple store is $268 for an 8Gb iPod TOUCH.

The ShoppingSquare deal was very good.
Only problem is the $50 cash-back was through PayPal so if you don't have paypal you don't get the money.

  • +1

    damnit, i snoozed ….

  • I managed to order an iPod. Yay!

  • +1

$218 after cashback for a 3rd gen ipod touch isn't so bad… or you could get one for $49 according the wholesale china ad on this page…

    • lol so how do the $49 ipods work? Cheap knock-offs right? How can they claim to be OEM etc, isn't that illegal?

  • the PC is up now, for those interested. :)

    • shipping 25 dollars…….

      • Shipping
        $19.95 for Major city
$25.00 for other locations in Australia

    • ooh, so it's $9 after $30 paypal cashback. I wish I knew it before, I don't use paypal. :(

      • I think you can register a PayPal account during PayPal Express checkout.

        • what about the necessary fund to buy it though?

  • I got the 20 gb. I'll put my own 80gb and add 512 mb of ram :)

    • finally, you got your deal :)

    • DDR ram or SD ?

  • wow, it feels like this has been a long day at some carnival with all these deals. so is it time to go home or is there still more?

    • There will be one more going to be started at 11pm

  • HAHA Danilo you knew i was dying for it :p.

    • haha, I can see you are hunting for it since 3pm.

  • Now thats determination :p

I was lucky enough to get one of the iPods. My son is going to be pleased :-)
Not sure if my employer is going to like the website logging of my activity throughout the day, checking in waiting for them to come up. - Eh who can resist a bargain!

I was impressed on how well generally the site held up. Good work!

    • +1

who do u work for. why dont u just use a proxy. like foxyproxy plugin for firefox

  • I would only our systems are locked down tight, no local install privilages. Forced though a Blue Coat proxy / web manager-reporting system.
Oops - I've probably said too much already…..time for the Tin Foil hat :-)

  • The last HOT HOUR offer is Oricom Premium Touch Sensitive Cordless Phone Twin Pack @ $19.95 After $30 PayPal Cashback. It will be ending at 12pm noon time tomorrow.

Thanks for the Ozbargainer's support today, and Thanks for Scott and Ozbargain's mods providing a space for us to discuss the deals. We will start to plan for next HOT HOUR Promotion tomorrow :)

Remind everyone that we will have a Storewide Promotion starting at 12pm noon, it's including Computer IT and everything in store.

    Cheers

    • Hi danilochan,

I purchased yesterday a Wii nunchuck and a remote from you. I would like to cancel my order as the description of the items was deceptive by omission. Nowhere before I made the payment it said that there are Japanese version, only on the invoice that I've got after the payment, which, by the way, is only for $64.64 and I've been charged $64.84. They might be genuine as you ensured me, but I was expecting an Australian version. As far as I know, Japanese genuine versions are only to be sold in Japan. I will be contacting Nintendo to confirm.

I contacted SS customer service and I've been told the order has already been dispached yesterday; however, the tracking number given does not appear to be valid when I checked on the AusPost tracking website.

Please let me know how can you solve this issue as I definetely do not want those items.

      Thank you!

      Regards,

      dansor

      • Hi dansor

Our customer support team will contact you shortly to solve the issue.

        • Hey danilochan,

In Crumble's other thread for the hot hour, i quote you wrote:

          [Rep] danilochan on 20/10/2009 - 19:21 ¶

For sure, all IBM PC are complete system with Keyboard, Mouse and Windows XP OS Lic. in working condition, even the $9 machine :) /endquote

However, when i received the netvista today, no mouse or keyboard was to be seen?

          Regards,
          dudeeeeeeee

          • @dudeeeeeeee: Hi, does yours POST?

            • @[Deactivated]: after scrounging around for a spare powercord and using the peripherals form my normal desktop, I turned the NetVista on, it started up fine and surprisingly fast for its specs.

          • @dudeeeeeeee:

However, when i received the netvista today, no mouse or keyboard was to be seen?

oops, it's a mistake from our supplier's information.

            • @danilochan: Hi dudeeeeeeeeeeeee

if you need new keyboard and mouse.

try to apply this coupone code

              2D392D

when you purchase any* Keyboard and Mouse from ShoppingSquare and get free shipping Australia wide

              expire: 11:59pm 28/10/2009
              *excluding Promotional items

              • @danilochan: I am confused….First you say it comes with a keyboard+mouse combo, yet you made no attempt to correct yourself until an ozbargainer (me) pointed it out. You offer no compensation for the mistake (what clinched the deal for me was the fact that it came with a keyboard+mouse combo), and now you give me a coupon that expired 2 days ago??

                • @dudeeeeeeee: The listing was correct during the listing in the website. (but there is a mistake on my previous post on forum)

Plesae send a ticket to us. our team will help you to solve it out.

the coupon is expired 30/10/2009 (there is typo in last post)

          Hi danilochan,
A customer representative promised to contact me on Monday, but he didn't. The order still does not track on AusPost website. I called them and they don't have a scan on that tracking number. Could you please let me know when I will get my refund?
          Thank you!
          dansor

          • @dansor: Let me check with CS team tomorrow morning, give you some update.

            • -1

@danilochan: The CS team told me they will refund me on Friday 30 October. Today is 1 November and I still don't have the refund in my paypal acccount. Could you please give me an update?
              Regards
              dansor

              • +1

@dansor: You have waited less than one business day and a weekend.
Paypal refunds can take a few business days to process

                • -1

@anthony: anthony, do you work at Shopping Square? If not, please don't answer questions that are addressed to Shopping Square.

danilochan, please answer the question above as I've been advised that I should be able to receive the refund on October 30, not few business days after.

                    @dansor:

anthony, do you work at Shopping Square?

                    No

If not, please don’t answer questions that are addressed to Shopping Square.

You are asking questions in a public place where people are free to read and comment on what you said, if you want to talk to them privately call or email them.

This is not a proper place to obtain support from a store danilochan might not even be checking for new things to be written here. I am only trying to help you out!

as I’ve been advised that I should be able to receive the refund on October 30, not few business days after.

You said "they will refund me on Friday 30 October" which means they will tell paypal to issue the refund.
Once they have told paypal to refund you everything is out of SS control

The same would apply if they refunded your credit card, they might have issued the refund on Friday however it will not show up on your statement for a few days.

                    • -2

@anthony: anthony, you don't have anything better to do? i thought it was clear i don't need your help, ok?

                      • +2

                        @dansor:

you don’t have anything better to do?

I can afford to spend 30 seconds writing a reply to try and help you out, not that you seem to be very grateful.

How about you, the time you have spent asking for help here you could have put to use asking for help directly with SS where you will get a reply.

As i said before you are asking questions in a public place where people are free to read and comment on what you said

OzBargain is not where shopping square offer support.

This is where shopping square offer support, use it http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/login.php?support=true

If you cannot see that the hold up is probably with paypal then i dont know what you expect SS to be able to do for you.

      • +1

I contacted SS customer service and I’ve been told the order has already been dispached yesterday; however, the tracking number given does not appear to be valid when I checked on the AusPost tracking website.

That would be because the parcel has not yet been scanned into the Australia post system.

They might be genuine as you ensured me, but I was expecting an Australian version

But they will offer the same functionality, probably look and feel the same too.

  • Hi, I received the IBM netvista today, and it doesn't POST……
When I turn it on, it gives me beeps (and fan spins) but there is nothing on the screen (no video signal).
    The beeps are like, + +++ +
5 short beeps, pauses after first and fourth beep.
Does shoppingsqaure arrange a pickup for RMA or is there a simple solution to correct the problem?
(Since memory chip is the only thing that can come lose, it might be that but I don't want to open the box just in case, besides I'm not sure how as there seems to be an intrusion protection lock on it at the back)
(BTW, I didn't receive keyboard, mouse or powercord either, just the pc)

    Regards,
    Goofy

    • It sounds like something could have come loose during transit/
There shouldnt be anything locking the case closed but it you take a photo of the back i am sure someone can tell you how to open it up.

      • Thanks anthony.
I brought it home, managed open the case, memory stick didn't look loose but reseated it anyway, and now it boots. Go figure. :)

        • how did you open the case?

          • @dudeeeeeeee: well, first unscrew the middle one at the back.
Push the top part TOWARDS the face (where the cdrom and floppy are) not the other way around.
(At first I was trying to take the top off from the face..)
It will slide open half way, then lift it to open completely.

I'm actually writing this using the PC. How cool is that.
And yeah it feels quite snappy for what it is.
The font is a bit blurry though, I wonder what setting I need to adjust hmm..

  • Hi, danilochan, got my IBM netvista but there is no Keyboard and Mouse, any chance to receive the Keyboard and Mouse for the PC?

    • pretty sure danilochan is just going to ignore this like he ignored me.

      • Because you are asking for support in a place where SS does not provide support.

Email or call SS so you can have it sorted as i am sure they have better things to do than watch OzBargain all day

  • Has anyone received the cash back from the paypal yet?

    • I haven't received mine.

They said "All cashback will be done by 22nd Nov 2009."

      • I received mine today.

    • I received the cash today as well.
