Fair enough, I wasn't sure by the comments.
What is excluded from the Price Beat Guarantee?
Paid membership-based pricing

I'm not sure if those T&C's have been changed recently, but it seems from the comments on the linked post that people were able to get price beat at OW.
I work at an Officeworks and they've told us recently to stop price matching Costco. They said it was a company wide decision so it won't vary by store anymore
We had it good while it lasted!
Thanks for the heads up, I'll remove the detail.
I wonder if it's slightly cheaper in-store?
fyi it's well known that costco's online prices are different from all their in store prices, and often reported that the price is lower when buying online even when including delivery (they said none of the prices match - and they don't match their own online prices).
it is highly likely it will not be cheaper in store, actually if you go all the way there most likely you will discover the price is higher.
Depends on the product, household items and small appliances are often $10 less in store, bulky items such as TV and furniture can be $100 less due to high cost of delivery.
Technology products such as iPad can be higher or lower because online promotions are not aligned with instore promotions.
ok the comments I read must have been on a device deal then.
I specifically remember comments saying it was more in store. I think it has to do with price beating the competition online regardless of delivery inclusive or not.
and another user said that even if the price is lower online, in store they will not price match their own online price no matter what. all prices in store are fixed and they won't budge.
almost as if offline/online stores are run as two different stores. and all they share is the membership.
@n3ck3ntry8bort0rgasm: @n3ck3ntry8bort0rgasm @browser Yeh I usually found things $10 cheaper to cover delivery too, that's why I thought I'd ask.
Was going to head in store next weekend and wait to buy then if it was cheaper.
Just checked though and they confirmed it's the same discounted price in store (so must be free delivery), however they've got no stock at the moment in some of the stores.

yeah just had similar experience at woolies with on sale item. 🙁
tbh if you need it now I just recommend you buy it online.
I think OW has generally stopped matching Costco.
