    Great for Moto360 smart watch

    • Cannot find it in any NSW store :(

      • Really? Just tried and it says it's in stock in Auburn, Caringbah and Bankstown. I use 2015 - Alexandria.

        • Tried the postcodes you mentioned and it still keeps saying "One or more products are unvailable for pick up near the postcode entered. Please try a different postcode or select delivery for your order." FYI, I have applied the 5% promo code and brought down the price to 303.05.

  • Can anyone recommends a good cloth dryer o get? only requires during winter so something like a 4-5kg.

    • +2

Cant make a specific recommendation, but get one that's auto sensing so you don't end up with still wet clothes or killing your power bill by running it for too long.

I have had an Electrolux one for about 6 months now. Pretty sure it is EDV5051. Have been happy with it.

      • I've got something similar, have had it for 3 years with pretty extensive use (small apartment, no line or real space to air things out).

My advice: get something bigger than you reckon you'll need. a 6kg with only 4kg in it will dry more efficiently than a 4kg with 4kg in there - more room for the items to get air through.

At least that was the advice I was given.

Looks like you get a month to use the credit:

"Store Credits will be received no later than Tuesday 03 February 2015. The Store Credit will be valid until Tuesday 03 March 2015."

    http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/cs/groups/public/documents/web…

    • It's always the short expiry that's a gotcha.

  • So what happens if I buy "item 1", not open it. Get store credit, use it on "item 2", then go back and return Item 1 days later?

Please try it before Friday and let us know how you go, Thanks.

TGG charges restocking fees which could be more than the store credit but yeah why don't you try and let us know

      • 20% restocking fee.

    • does it stack? can you get both?

  • can the store credit be used for paying Online order later?

    • +2

Yes. I got the credit from last promotion and it says:

Your Store Credit can be redeemed either online or at any of our stores across Australia, by the date specified in the terms and conditions.

      • Thanks a lot, good to know.

  • Can't find anything good to buy :(
    Their phones are seriously overpriced.

  • Well crap, I just bought an oven yesterday from them.

    • Me too - I bought a fridge last week damn it!

    • Did you at least get the 5% off?

      • No.. I went in store to buy it.

  • +2

Best buy that I can see would be:-

$299 Hewlett Packard Stream PC11-d008TU 11.6" Celeron Blue
    Model No. K5C54PA
    http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/hewlett-packard-stream-pc11-d0…

Then add say a 16GB USB Memory Stick at around $16+

Then apply the 5% Off code.

  • Can you buy a gift card with store credit?

    • +4

      Deleted

  • Is the store pickup dependent on current store stock of the item you're purchasing?

I have a store just around the corner from me, but for the life of me, it won't come up as an option. It keeps giving me Browns Plains or Ipswich, and I'm wanting Carseldine or Lutwyche.

**answered my own question by reading the T&C's - 'Only products that are able to be collected from a participating store are eligible for this promotion. Not all products available for sale online are stocked at all stores'

Shame as I was instore on the weekend, so know that they have the item instock and available for collection!

  • Is there any way to pricematch online?

  • Great, probably going to get a Dyson DC45, hoping to stack the 5% off which means the Dyson costs around $283.

Now I just need to find something costing around $19 which just bumps me over the $300 mark (after 5% discount). Any ideas?

    1. Do you get to use the store credit in the same transaction? Or is for future purchase only?
    2. Can you stack store credits later on? i.e. buy a bunch of >$300 items in separate transactions?
    • Suggest you consider reading the earlier comments which already answer your questions

    • You can use store credit and gift cards in same transaction.

  • Is the LG 42" FHD LCD TV a good deal still? Anyone purchased one and have an opinion?

    $594 @ TGG minus 5% ($29.70) = $564.30. $50 store credit makes it (in theory) $514.30.

    http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/lg-42-inches106cm-fhd-led-lcd-…

    $749 on DS, http://www.dicksmith.com.au/lg-42-106cm-full-high-definition…

Need a new external HDD with the $50 credit so know what that is being spent on.

i am looking a a handheld vacuum which can last a little longer for daily clean of timber floors.. i have the dyson 59 but it runs out very quick. . it does not last the 26min that was advertised..

the below one is advertised as 37mins.. would this be a better option if i am after a basic vacuum better battery life?

    http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/electrolux-ergorapido-18v-wate…

    • if the suction is weak, the longer battery life is meaningless!

      • Totally agree. If ~20 mins is not enough for you, you have to wonder if cordless is the right option.

I'm still trying to decide if I should stack this with the 5% deal to get a DC59 now, and if so, is the animal worth the extra or not…

    • +1

I highly recommend the Dustbuster Flexi 18V , it's like a hand vac built on a power-tool battery , but as it's not a stick vac its not great for doing floors, just spot cleaning.

For those who wanting to buy the Dyson Vacuum, how about adding this little tool to make it over $300?

  • Will I get a $50 voucher if I order online and get it delivered?

  • The Good Guys $50 Credit for $300+ Online Order and "Store Pick up"
    So,NO.

  • Nothing that I want is available for pickup from my local store (regional NSW). I'm in the market for a Samsung tab s and a Bosch washing machine. Looks like they just lost a sale!

    • Regional doesn't matter that much. I'm in metropolitan Melbourne with several stores around me - wanted the Dyson DC59 but only available in 2 stores the other side of the city. Kills the deal for me.

  • -1

Can you use this for apple product?

  • Just logged into cash rewards but looks like that 2% is not available. Or I may have gotten confused with another retailer? in any case, it's not there.

Off to pull the trigger on a DC45 and the mattress tool attachment!

  • FYI, if you go to use your store credit online on the last day of it's validity, it will not be accepted, but will be accepted in store.

When do the credit vouchers get emailed out?

  • +1

Yeah , when do we get the vouchers??

  • Any one got the voucher yet?

    • Nope, nothing in my email still… :(

    • Any one got the voucher yet?

      Yes.

Last week I saw a 1TB portable external drive on sale (only until Feb 2nd). So, I called the on-line support number and asked when the vouchers would be sent out. I was told "from Feb 2nd". So, I told him about the drive on sale, and he gave me a voucher number over the 'phone.

I used the $50 voucher code to help pay for the $76 drive.

    Got my voucher

  • this is ridiculous, I had to buy a washing machine today and forgot about the voucher because I still haven't received it … -_-

  • this is stupid. They say you have to have also picked up the goods during the promotional period to be eligible for the store credit. Just had a long argument with them over the phone. Does anyone have a snapshot of the cover page of the original advertisement?

Who is "They"? Did you call the online support number? Or was it a store staffer to whom you were talking?

Did you buy online before January 23rd? When did you pick up your purchase(s) in store?

Here is a link to the only remaining evidence of their offer.

    https://www.facebook.com/ozbargain/posts/10153136208159131

I am sorry, but I can not read the small print in the image of the offer. Perhaps you can make it out?

  • I talked to customer care. I bought online on the 23rd, paid and elected to pick up. I picked up on 24th (Saturday).

    • I talked to customer care. I bought online on the 23rd, paid and elected to pick up. I picked up on 24th (Saturday).

I was finally able to read the small print by using a magnifying lens.

There is no mention of just when the online purchase(s) must be picked up from a store. There are NO conditions, other than the minimum spend of $300 AND the fact that the online purchase must be made BY Friday January 23rd. This may be being interpreted by The Good Guys as being Midnight on the 22nd!

At the time I wondered if it meant by the end of the 22nd, or noon on the 23rd, or midnight on the 23rd. Legally, I think it would be interpreted as up to midnight on the 22nd - that is, BEFORE the 23rd.

I think that you missed out by purchasing ON the 23rd of January.

However, I would call again, (maybe ask for a supervisor or manager?), and politely point out the problem with how the offer was presented in terms of the 'cut off' date. Also, point out that there was no conditions regarding the time period or date of picking up the purchase(s).

      Good Luck.

      • Can confirm after calling them today that you need to pick up the item by the 23rd Jan to qualify for the cash back.
Unfortunately I didn't picked my order up until the 28th January.

  • Still waiting for my voucher.

Surely you have called their 1300 number by now and asked for assistance in getting the voucher code sent to you?
