Get high and catch the ferry

        • i hate the ferry but supposed won't matter if high lol :)

        • @prankster: have you been on that particular ferry? it's really not too shabby hey. really not bad at all. plus you can get the train fare to the ferry and to london from dunwich included in your tix.

        • @astrodude: no i've never tried, just thought it was too much of a hassle and just getting the plane/train was quick

      • Its only a 40 minute flight to London from Schipol Airport. Plenty of connections.

I couldn't see anything cheaper than $1,371 return from melbourne, and then finding something that didn't incur an additional return cost, I couldn't be bothered. Not a very usable system in my opinion.

  • That would be a very odd way to get to Europe from Adelaide via Bali!

I didnt even know KLM and Etihad were partners - KLM is Skyteam so I thought the flights out of Australia would be with China Southern, Korean or Garuda.

AirFrance has the same "24H Flash sale" today with same travel dates, flying to Paris instead of Amsterdam:

      Seems like a better deal

  • How does KLM stack up compared to other Air Carriers? I rank Emirates and Singapore as two of the better ones. How has your experiences been?

    • I've been with them long haul twice and enjoyed both flights - good food, decent entertainment and the airport was easy to navigate. On par with Qantas in my experience but not a patch on Singapore Airlines.

  • I tried booking through the Air France deal and it kept telling me no flights available, no matter what selection I made.
    Oh well….

Just thought you should know that KLM code share with MAS from Sydney. (Don't know about from other airport) That means you travel with MAS at least to KUL if not all the way to Europe. MAS is a good airline, irrespective of what happened.

  • Cool, managed to score a April school holiday flight for $1300. Not quite the advertised rate - but school holidays…

Flights still seem to be on sale too…
