Yes you'll see from the footnotes that the latest Broadwell-based ThinkPad EDGE are excluded from the promotion, which is a shame as the new ones are actually quite good. E450 is now lighter (with no optical drive & 1.8kg), has full HD display option and has up to 9 hours of battery life due to Broadwell + non-removable battery. Moreover they brought back the physical buttons for the TrackPoint!

  2. Excludes: ThinkPad 10 tablet, Lenovo Tablets, Yoga 3 Pro, Y50, Z50, Yoga 2 11 & 13 inch laptops.

  3. Excludes: ThinkPad E450, E550 and New X1 Carbon.

  • Anyone think this will be the best deal for the new X1 Carbon (24%) for the near future?

    • Highly depending on where AUD is going. ThinkCentre M73 Tiny was $549 in the last promotion but now $599 with discount — I think it might just be lower AUD that's causing it.

AUD also went under 80c USD overnight. Not looking good :(

Yep, will take at least 50% (off) to win back love

    • Thank you. We have been buying Lenovo for work & for home use for quite a few years and have always had good transactions.

      • Yes well if they make a price mistake in the hardware specs and you order it expect to wait up to 14 days to get your money back into your account like it did with me and when its a visa debit card that's real money we are talking about not credit.

  • I wonder what it includes:

    "Excludes: ThinkPad 10 tablet, Lenovo Tablets, Yoga 3 Pro, Y50, Z50, Yoga 2 11 & 13 inch laptops.
    Excludes: ThinkPad E450, E550 and New X1 Carbon. "

  • Note that the X1 Carbon on sale here IS NOT the new one with hardware trackpad buttons, even though it says "New X1 Carbon". >:(

    • Yes it goes to the page of Gen3 but adds a Gen2 into the cart. I'll avoid Gen2 because of the adaptive keyboard & button-less TrackPoint, which both got "fixed" (or reverted) in Gen3.

  • The E440 (not 450)has had the EDGEDEAL replaced with AUSTRALIA which seems to be the same discount.
You can spec up the base model to an i3/8g/128gbSSD/840m for just over $800 which is pretty good. Only bad part seems to be the trackpad review.

EPP prices are cheaper so if you have access (or know someone who does), use that.

    • EPP? Please enlighten. I'm guessing that's 'Enterprise Program Price?' if so…I need to speak to my IT people today.

Employee Price Program. For Lenovo and IBM employees.

        • Thanks for that. I'm just a regular retail schlub with no Lenovo / IBM friends….

        • There's also "Affinity" (i.e. for their customers' employees, certain organisation's members etc). Hard to track down Affinity's passcode…they used to be everywhere.

My EPP account is still active but the problem is, I don't work there so any orders related e-mail will bounce lol.

  • does this website simply have a USB cable to fit my thinkpad?
