The public will be welcome to attend warm up matches which will be ticketed but free of charge.

The schedule of warm-up matches is (tickets available from 12pm AEST/2pm NZT on 22 January):

9 February: England v West Indies, 2.30pm Sydney Cricket Ground
9 February: Pakistan v Bangladesh, 2.30pm Blacktown
10 February: Ireland v Scotland, 2.30pm, Blacktown
11 February: England v Pakistan, 2.30pm, SCG
12 February: West Indies v Scotland, 9.30am, SCG
12 February: Bangladesh v Ireland, 9.30am, Blacktown

11 February: Australia v United Arab Emirates, 2.30pm, MCG
13 February: Afghanistan v United Arab Emirates, 10am, Junction Oval

SA
8 February: Australia v India, 2pm, Adelaide Oval
10 February: India v Afghanistan, 2pm, Adelaide Oval

9 February: South Africa v Sri Lanka, 11am, Hagley Oval

Fans are advised that warm up matches are what the name implies; they are not official ODIs but are designed to allow teams the chance to prepare for the World Cup. They operate under slightly different rules with up to 15 players able to be used throughout the game. The range of activities and spectator experiences in and around warm up venues will in most cases be less than what is provided during the World Cup itself.

You can select a maximum of eight (8) tickets per person per warm up match. No group bookings are available for warm up matches.

Warm up tickets are only available online and delivered as a Print at Home email PDF ticket.

Please be aware not all seating areas or gates within the venue will be operating or available for warm up matches and ticket holders will be guided to available seating areas by venue staff.

Tickets are subject to availability. Ticket Terms and Conditions and purchase conditions apply.

    Some of these matches they will lock the gates ……. to stop people leaving !!!

    I'd really like to see The Netherlands as over the years they and Ireland often give Australia a fright in these competitions
    Now with T20 taking off like it has maybe The Netherlands & Ireland will get invited to a T20 series as they should be more suited to them

          I live in Adelaide and I've got tickets for Aus v Ind too.
          More than makes up for none of the Carlton tri-series ODIs being played here.

      I would say no more than 20k including members. Plenty of empty seats. Good atmosphere anyway

      Media said it was sold out but I reckon the GA area was only about 15-20% capacity. Guessing a lot of people just ordered their Free tickets and either forgot or never turned up. It was hot in the sun but plenty of shady spots up high.

      Was a good game if you were supporting AUS. My Kids enjoyed it and a few friends who took their kids also.
      First time Ive been to the Adelaide oval since redevelopment

      I heard on ABC Grandstand that the crowd was only 13k. I guess when tickets are free, people don't value them!

        Perhaps they only sold part of the capacity of the ground for this match and didn't want a capacity crowd. Even though the tickets were free they still would have had to pay security staff, vendor staff and other support staff. If they deliberately sold less tickets than the ground capacity they would have been able to only hire a reduced number of staff for the day.

          I would say that it is in their interest to get as many people in so that they have:
          - more people to advertise to
          - more people to buy food and drinks

      I guess its started but cricket.com.au is a good start.
      Matches are never called off pregame aka 3 hours before due to rain.
