360
TM407

You will get unlimited standard calls and texts plus 2GB data all for $16.48 for the first two months.
There is no contract so you do not have to use it anymore after the first two months.

Pretty good deal for those who don't mind porting their number over after the first two months.

Edit: Apparently, if ordered online there is a $5 delivery fee which is refunded with first bill.
The fee can be avoided if you buy the sim at a retailer. I know Allphones sell them.

FYI: the Ultimate mobile phone plans use the Vodafone Regional network.

Well, we better not get into that debate as that is an endless pit. ;-) I am in a city so for me this would be OK and Vodafone coverage works there pretty well.

      • Maybe but this is their regional coverage. It probably wont work in the city either

Its $16.48 per month not $16.48 for two months

    • still cheap

      • True dat but misleading title

        • Not really but I did try to add it in. Also, if there were characters to write stuff it would make things easier. Sometimes it is impossible to put all the info in one line with limited characters.

      • OMG this is such bullshi* read their terms and conditions:

"Number of Standard Calls if you restricted your use solely to standard national mobile calls each of 2 minutes in duration you could make: Unlimited.

"Flagfall and per minute usage fees apply to call types not included in the plan. "

This is shittiest plan i have even heard of, what's the point of unlimited calls if each call cant be more than 2 min long. I'm tempted to neg this deal.

Just go with the Lycamobile one https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/180214
its a couple of bucks more but you can use you phone calls anyway you want, plus you get more data, plus it uses the Telstra network instead of Voda.

    • Corrected. Added "pm" as I cannot add any more characters. TBH, I thought that was self explanatory as $16.48 for two months total would be too good to be true as that would be slashing the monhtly price by 75% which as far as I am aware has not been seen before on unlimited plans (50% yes, but not 75%).

  • 3g only or 4g network as well?

    • Don't know. Check the link. But I guess at that price it will be 3G.

      • Yeah, I couldn't find any solid proof that it is 3G only… but it would appear so. Was looking at the 3GB plan… since I'm currently on the $50 Red… might stick with the $50 red instead since the price is only for 2 months.

        • I think it is 3G. For me that is cool as I just need the phone and don't even care about the data. Also, I am happy to port the number over to a different provider every months as I have a separate phone with a steady number for incoming calls only.

    • According to Whirlpool 3G only.

And now somebody will complain about the title not saying AUD as that is the normal comment when there is no currency given in title.

  • Buy a sim self activate with code for the deal? Or buy from allphones and do they enter the code? Good deal and on par with other Vodafone type deals through resellers

    • I think you buy a sim and self activate. But ask at an Allphones shop - my local shop is very good and the people are very friendly and -surprise surprise- knowledgeable there, too.
I will be going there after work or tomorrow morning.

Delivery Fee (Refunded on First Bill)

    • That is arguable of course. Not everyone does things like watch youtube with mobile data all the time. 2GB can be perfectly fine for people who just browse the net, post on FB, and chat on whatsapp. Some people have wifi access at work as well.

Or you need to re-evaluate how much time you spend using your phone for youtube and facebook.

    • This is me then. I prefer a proper computer as it is much more productive.
If you really believe what you said maybe start a petition to get European conditions in Australia established(20 Euro for all unlimited, including data).
I do not care about the data, just the unlimited phone calls and texts.

I am perfectly fine with the 1G from Telechoice. Yet if I use mobile internet the same way as my ADSL2+ I would get a $99999 bill every month. Your assumption is stupid.

    • I have no idea how much data I get from TPG, but I can't imagine it's more than 2GB. I never use it all.

    • Its plenty for me as soon as i get home im connected to wifi if you dont have wifi then i agree it isnt enough.

  • Keep in mind this is 3G. Also, experiment with using both the vfinternet APN and the live.vodafone.com one. I've been with them for a while and there can be a significant difference.

    • works fine for me on both apns
congestion shouldnt be a major issue since they have turned on 4g
i have been with think as a customer for years and to be honest its just as good if not better than vodafone

  • Stay away from Thinkmobile/Rewardmobile especially since the excess is so large. They charge an arm and a leg excess for data usage.

    • How so?

its 2c/mb if you go over
thats pretty reasonable if you ask me
too much nitpicking considering their plans are CHEAP to begin with

  • just joined jeenee mobile, $35 3gb data on 4G network…i think that one is bargain but not this one

  • Unfortunately if you want to travel around Australia and use your phone there is only one choice- Telstra network.

      • To or through rural areas
