  • Instore and online in assuming.

  • Could anyone recommend any good face moisturisers? Any good Aussie brands at all?
    Thanks.

    • I hear Nutrogena is awesome. Amazon great reviews.

      • Thanks phantomburner. I'm also looking at Bulldog original moisturiser:

Though it looks that there just aren't much choices for the men's section.

Any good brands for the missus?

        • What skin type does she have? Oily? Normal? Dry? and light or dark?
          Age bracket?
          Does she wear makeup everyday?
          Sunscreen?

Eg - if she wears MAKEUP then you want a light daily moisturiser (or even none at all as her foundation may have it in there)
If she wears explicit SUNSCREEN then the daily moisturiser doesn't require spf (which will make it cheaper)

Sorry if that sounds really complex but it's actually really easy once you think about it.
Nivea is great. She won't complain about that and it's not too costly.

        • @Lemonade: Thanks Lemonade for joining this conversation.
Her skin type is in between oily to normal, with persistent acne problem. (age 20-25)
She only wears makeup/sunscreen when she go out, not daily though.

She doesn't mind paying extra if the moisturiser/cleanser can help with her acne problem.

        • @phantomburner: I also found another brand called 'Milk' which I think can also be found at Woolies/Coles.

        • Though it looks that there just aren't much choices for the men's section.

What are you looking at buying? Because for the vast majority of skincare products, gender doesn't matter. They just split the product lines to target the products a bit better (better advertising, different fragrances, etc).

        • @ProspectiveDarkness: I'm just looking for a good face moisturiser. I'm currently using Clarins Homme and love it. But it's too expensive, $50 a bottle, so am looking for an alternative that is close to Clarins if not better.

          My pleasure :)
          I have PM'ed a detailed reply.

          Good luck :)

FWIW, I just use Cetaphil. It's usually pretty well regarded, it does the job and it's pretty cheap (I think I got 1 litre for $20 at Chemist Warehouse).

      • Neutrogena is not Australian

As a pharmacist I often recommend QV/Cetaphil/Alpha Kerri to people. They are nice, plain ranges with soap free washes, moisturisers such as creams/lotions. They do the job well, minus all the crap you don't need.

I love natio products, nice on skin, not too heavy

      I do too.

  • Thanks OP. This just saved me about $40

Is the site loading slow for you guys?

    • +1

Slow for me too. The site is getting hammered

  • Sudocrem 400g for $15.29 is the best I've seen for a while.

  • Just stocked up big time so very nice saving. Thanks OP.
