Misleading title. It's not an 'Apple 24 hour sale' it's a 'Megabuy 24 hour Mac sale'.

    • +6

They do this with every post they make, so I'm assuming it's intentional. Poor form, MegaBuy, poor form. You're essentially getting a free chance at advertising here, the least you could do is follow some simple rules.

They don't think they need to follow Australian Consumer Law, why would they need to follow OzBargain rules.

Megabuy are a joke, do you actually expect them to have any standards?

  • +3

There's no bargain…won't make a difference if this ''sale'' went on for 24 months.

    • Its 10% or so off the price they sell at from the Apple store, so why isnt it bargain?

Or else? Will the world end?

I dont see the bargain in this…

Megabuy don't want you to have bargains.

Please refer to the Microserver fiasco.

      http://whrl.pl/RcKBYb

Summary: Megabuy bought all Microserver stock to prevent other shops selling it cheaply. These guys should be negged and banned forever on here.

      • Went and read the responses in that thread and I don't think Megabuy was as unreasonable as been described. They had too many customers that needed stock, so they bought from competitors who were selling it for dirt cheap so they can serve it to their customers(?). I don't see how that is problematic.
The competitors who were selling it for cheap all ran out of stock quickly. To me this seems to be just a story of if there is more demand than supply then prices go up.

I'm not disagreeing with the negs on this deal, I don't think it is a deal either. But saying they should be banned forever is a bit too much.

  • Not much of a deal, DSE and others regularily have 10-14% off sales with better service and better stock availability.

    • So this is 10% off, and its not a bargain. But when DSE do 10% off it is a bargain??

I have never bought form Megabuy before, so cant comment on anything else, but the prices are good.

  • Worse than Dick.

  • I agree, it's not a bargain.

10% off a mac is a bargain. People will vote up a few dollars off stuff, but you can get $400 off one of the mbp here, but people are negging it??

      • +1

Because its Megabuy - haven't picked that up yet?

  • I've had poor service and late delivery, even though they are drop shipping these machines. I would recommend everyone avoid Megabuy.

  • This is in no way shape or form a bargain. Not unless I close my eyes, squint and pretend the $2099 Macbook Pro is $1299.

    • It is a bargain for a Mac. Its $400 off the Apple store price.

  • +1

Can someone please explain how $400 off a Macbook Pro 15 inch isn't a bargain? I'm interested in buying considering the price, but I'm really confused by all the comments. I've never seen macbooks so cheap?

    • True that. The prices are cheaper than Apple store, and delivery is free, so why is this not a bargain??

Is it just because it is Megabuy?

Apple warranty and service will be the same, so what is the issue?

76 pages of feedback on the company and others he owns. Quite happy to claim they have phantom stock, accept orders and payment and then sit on the money for weeks.

  • Due to past dealings with this company I could never recommend buying from them.

    • Are you really associated with them and just called your potential customers butthurt?

I know who I'll be avoiding.

      • -2

I don't think anyone wants butthurt's as customers. They're best avoided at all costs ;) this is just the natural filtering mechanism.

      • Yep, he's the "Multimedia Manager" at Megabuy

That's their attitude, on public display for all to see.

  • Maybe he's associated with butt hurt?
