sorry for any confusion - even if you don't live in one of these local council areas you can still sign up and take advantage of the premier's active april deals that OP listed

the councils I listed are running extra related promotions tied in with the active april promotion.

        • +1

Thanks heaps for clarifying that :)

  • Has anyone ever had a problem going to the same YMCA the next year after using it the previous year and signing up for the premiers challenge? Just seeing if I should anticipate any awkwardness. Thanks!

    • Nope! Been doing this for the past few years. They just check you off on your card.

You used to be able to visit different YMCAs for the visits but you now have to choose 1.

Be careful, Daniel Andrews is probably down at the Bike Shop right now paying the owner to take his $1500 voucher back

    • +1

Be careful, the Liberals might have signed more secret deals that cost us billions like the East West Link?

  • I've got 2 YMCA's the same distance apart from me. Could I sign up twice and get 20 days and split them between the centres?

    • 20 visits in 30 days is pretty keen.

  • Includes North Melbourne Recreation Centre and Melbourne City Baths for those in the City of Melbourne.

  • Anyone knows, can the 10 free passes be used for others (for example: use 2 at once for me & my son)?

    • +2

Well, they don't ID you at the gyms but makes more sense to register each person who will use it. Thus instead of sharing 1 10 visit pass, you will each have a 10 visit pass.

      • So, kid is also eligible to register and get their own passes? Haven't read anything against, but sometimes they restrict under 12 for such thing :(
Updated: My bad, saw that there's "child" in the registration form. Thanks

    • Almost looks like you can register once and then claim the 10 passes from two different suburbs,
For exp if you live elsewhere and work in the city, then you can try the Melbourne Baths and also your local council's pool.

      • Are they in addition to the passes? Seems more likely that each council is just regurgitating the 10 pass offer for their local YMCAS.

        • Hmm Hobsons bays Bayfit swimming pool is not managed by ymca so I know that's their own deal.

          Not sure about others.

        • @dealman:

Yeah, good point. Makes sense for that one. But surely the other councils are not going to repeat the same deal with the same date periods.

  • Does anyone know if the 10 free YMCA passes have to be used in April?

I'm guessing they do, but thought I would clarify.

    • +1

      Yes.

  • +1

Dumb question, but where do we enter our address to actually have these passes sent to us?

  • so how do you get the passes? ive signed up and they are nowhere to be seen?

    • From what I recall in the past, they send them out to you in the mail, usually at the beginning of April.

EDIT: Ignore that. It's downloadable now.

    • +1

You get them in your email title "Welcome to Premier's Active April" Scroll down in the email and you will see "Download you Active April Card" click it and it will download and you will just have to print it off. :) I got mine straight after activating/verifying my account/email.

  • +1

Check your email, after validating my account it sent me a pdf link via my email to print off the flyer and at the bottom of it is your YMCA card for the promo…

  • +1

Thanks OP. This might get me off the couch.

    • You have to think of the savings. At my local Y, an adult swim is about $6. 20 swims = $120 worth of value for free. Possibly better value if you use the gym (I think general gym visits cost more).

  • Thanks a lot

  • Excellent! Maybe we'll have another premier next year to thank LOL

  • I got this to get the 2 for 1 Aquarium pass, but it isn't valid til April.
But this deal here is still valid right up to April.

  • Trying to make me exercise!?

    Ha! Nice April Fool's Andrews!

  • SportsMart online voucher can be used be everyone! No need to register. Australia wide.

  • Anyone know if regular running shoes are allowed on Melbourne Park/Albert Park tennis courts?

    • Don't think they checked last time I was at Melbourne Park. Most hardcourts don't want to you use shoes with a black sole.
