    these are really horrible

even kids and fido will turn their noses up at this

    • i have to disagree. oven-grilled is quite delicious

totally agree they were $1.99 in Ashgrove (Brisbane) a few weeks back so we got a few packs for OZ Day. there are grissle and chunks of crap through it which you have to spit out. There were even bone fragments in some

    • try soy sauce and honey it take taste away make nice.

  • +2

I wonder what's inside these? maybe some left over scraps when they were making tofu?

    • +4

No, the left over scraps from the slaughterhouse.

    • +3

Floor sweepings from the meat prep area + extra sawdust.

One does not ask what is in a sausage

      • +6

Exactly. It's all lips and arseholes :-)

  • +4

i like em. wid tomato sauce, onions and white bread they're fine

Some sausage snobs above me thinks. I have found hese to be quite nice. Like any sausage, the trick is to cook on low-med heat and not to burn them!
    $1 is awesome price.

    • lol fuak i alawys burn mine due to high heat

      • cook on low.

        • +1

ya i know now. its coz i always ravenous and think itll be quicker. then end up eating em half raw

    • burnt snags are the best!!!

    Nice soft focus photo, OP.

Kinda like what unattractive people use (or disguise, rather) to make themselves look better in pics…

(maybe same applies to these sausages? lol)

Looks like an episode of B&B.

left overs from australia day? perfect for valentines day?!

I tried these last week and spent the entire night trying not to throw up. I haven't felt that sick in years. Whatever's in them it's not safe for human consumption.

    • +15

must have a pissweak stomach then. had plenty of these bad boys in my time and never made me feel sick.

My Mrs loves the thick ones

    • lmao

    • +2

Sadly, we don't always get what we want.

    • +1

stop waving it around already lol

      ones = plural…..mmmm….

    • Perhaps she'd like two at a time?

Thanks OP got Valentines dinner sorted.

These bangers are worth at least $2 to me, cos they always repeat.

  • When is the use by date ?

    • about August 2015 if you freeze them.

  • has anyone confirmed if these are available at any other woolworths stores?

    • +2

They're available at most Woolworths stores, just not necessarily at this price.

  • +2

Thanks OP. Just picked some up. expiry 9/1/15. Just freeze them and they're good.

    • 9/1/15 ???

      • oops meant 9/2/15… illegal to sell expired products

  • Few packs still there, sign gone, but still scans at $1

  • +1

    r they halal?

    • +5

Only if you eat around the pork.

      • +1

Pretty sure they're Beef and Lamb (72%) and then other stuff. That said, they are not certified Halal. Every Woolies got a large allocation for them for Australia Day, I'm not surprised that they have to clear it for that cheap.

        • +1

They is definitely not lamb in these…

But you are likely right on the percentage, I do remember it being quite low on the meat content.

        • @samfisher5986:

Thanks for the clarification guys. McDuck that advice is brilliant.

          @samfisher5986:
