  • I've been looking at the LG IPS 34" for a while. Will a single GTX970 be able to run games on it at a decent setting?

    • I honestly don't see why not. I've been looking at it for a while as well. Nice looking monitor, going to hold off for now though.

4GB ram can only handle 1080p at max setting on COD:AW and FARCry 4, for 1440p you will need SLI/CF , or 295x2

      you mean 3.5gb ram lol

      • don't make fun of me :(

      • thats why i am still with 290X lolz

    • You dont know how it works do you? The ram doesnt add up in SLI as each card needs to have the same 3d data, textures etc. Also at that resolution 3gb RAM is usually plenty. Weather a single card as enough power to draw that many pixels for your desired frame rate is another matter, and where SLI may help.

    • Vram doesn't work like that. You don't add vram for multi-gpu setups.

      • Not at moment but will be ture very soon

        • Yeah, nah. That is marketing fluff. Even if one card does the top half of screen, the other the bottom, if say a dragon flies around it has to be in both cards RAM. Sure the sky and clouds only have to be on the top one - until you look up. The PCIe bus is fast, but not fast enough to transfer that much data around to maintain say 60fps. Sure it can "do it" just like a 970 CAN use all 4GB of RAM…. just the last 500mb is much slower.

oh, and the 3dfx Voodoo cards did split frame rendering many MANY moons ago. Its not new.

    Can I have one for $429? ;)

  • I still don't know what the last three entries refer to.

    • You're talking about

      "Transcend USB3.0 StoreJet Pocket drives
      1TB 79
      2TB 129"?

I think its weird formatted data from a table - the 1tb and 2tb refer to different capacities of the Transcend usb 3 drive.

      • Yeah. Oh, that might make sense.
