Sony Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones MDR-ZX550BN Twin Pack $169 at Officeworks

70

as titled. JB Hifi sells it for $199 per pack? So $169 for two is a better deal for a NFC Bluetooth Noice Cancelling headphone. Can anyone comment on the quality on this?

      Noice roundel.

I just travelled to Japan and back. I had some noise cancelling Philips ear buds. These worked a treat isolating engine noise, except for the cord - it was either too long or too short.
BT would be good but the ear buds allowed me roll my head over into the headrest.

Still very tempting for our May trip there.

      Thanks OP

I just got back from a flight, was looking at Bose QC25's and Sony top of the line NC, out of curiosity got the below from Officeworks:

Mutant MIG-NC102 Noise Cancelling Headphones $29.00

Much better than my NC earphones, build appearance is cheaper looking up close, however not ugly, fit nice over ear, well worth the $30 in my opinion and I'm not all antsy about getting the scratched, broken or lost

  • Also purchased a couple of Mutants about 12 months ago and generally quite happy with them, especially as they are over-the-ears. The weakness is the swivel points on each ear piece, and have repaired them a few times with a biro tube for reinforcing and super glue.

Also bought the Sony bundle a couple of weeks ago and a bit disappointed as they are on-ears, contrary to what it said on the Sony website. After using both models, my feeling is the Mutants are excellent value for the price.

Note also, I rarely use the bluetooth feature on the Sony, as it halves it's internal battery life and puts additional drain on my tablet.
