  • They work quite well, but very cheaply made. I've got the 20L model.

  • This looks like it doesn't have a long extension tube so doing floors would be a pain.

Godfrey's has the 20l model for $5 9http://www.godfreys.com.au/shopvac-super-20l-wet-dry. Is there any difference between the two models despite the capacity?

  • You reckon these would be any good to suck up grass clippings?
I have a little courtyard I mow with a reel mower and I've been thinking about buying a leaf-blower that has a vacuum feature, but for $29…

Depends on quality. However, good to see you on the ball Mr Masters Employee.

Edit: Or Ms/Mrs…just covering all bases.

      • +2

Sorry, but the Masters one wouldn't be any good in this application. Damion said that he needs it for grass clippings… And this one only says it's a leaf rake! ;)

        • +1

The masters one is good for leaves, litter, sand and soil compared to the Bunnings on which is only good for leaves and grass. I think I'd prefer my rake to be 4 in 1 compared to 2 in 1 ;-)

I think you missed the humour in my comment. Which surprises me considering you work at Masters. I thought a GSOH was a given for anyone wanting to work there!

        • @Snoop: I didn't miss it. I thought my ;-) at the end implied I was also using humour. Maybe I'm just not funny

Don't worry….. others picked up on it easy enough !

  • was wondering what it was this weekend , but the shelves from last week was a better buy :)

    • What else would you like to see?

      • maybe another spend $30 and get $10 off your shop? =)

good and cheap, but I don't understand: wall mount + 1.2m hose ? So you can clean a total semicircular area of 0.5m², assuming it actually reaches the floor ? Or is it a wall bracket for storage. Hose seems very short in either case.

    • This model doesn't include a floor tool so I assume it is primarily intended to be connected to machinery to remove residue or used for small jobs like cleaning a work bench or car. A longer hose length results in less usable suction so it wouldn't make sense to have a long hose on this model.

The $59 shop vac from Godfrey's is probably a better option if you want to clean floors.

"Shop vac" for use in workshop, shed, garage, etc…

Good if you hate lugging your regular house vacuum outside to do the car :)

Picked up at Tingalpa QLD 9:15 this morning… Only 5 left and the assistant servicing the area said they'd sold over 40.

    Probably all gone now….

These were selling quicker than the sausages outside! One bright customer was asking if they were any good for vacuuming the house! I chipped in to advise only if you wanted to carry it around (no wheels) and be on your hands and knees (no wand/extension tube).
