    I bought a $1 OTG cable from ebay about a month ago, it didn't work and almost fried USB port on my tablet.
    Out of curiosity, I took it apart - it was very poorly soldered and the wires were all mixed up (+5V connected to GND pin, GND connected to +5V etc). The guy who made it was probably drunk..
    I fixed the cable and it's working now, but I would never buy cheap OTG cables again.

      Agree. The cable of the ebay one looks very thin and poorly made. I would skip in case it fires my phone.
