Dear customer. Unfortunately the carrier has just changed the price for your selected flight. Low-cost carriers are changing the price very often and we can’t do anything about that. The new price set by the carrier is $ 864.68, which is $ 212.45 more than the original price. If you want to book this flight for $ 864.68 then press the button below.

    • Did you book the flights & get this message? I did everything other than enter my CC details to check this flight. I'll give them a call now.

      • Just press book on the first link

I just got off the phone to SkyPicker, the agent that is selling this flight. They said that price changes happen "very rarely" however, they were unable to verify which dates are actually available at this price over the phone. Their booking department is getting back to me with a list of available dates. They did say that if you make a booking & it is not successful, then you should be refunded in 1-3 days, not 2-6 weeks.

  • Hi IWTF. Something wrong with the SYD-DXB leg. Cheapest price I'm seeing is $788.

EDIT: now it's $669… by the way, is it really a 40h trip to Dubai with CEBU?

    • +1

by the way, is it really a 40h trip to Dubai?

The flight route is SYD-MNL-DXB. That should be 40 (or so) hours.

Another thing, once you've entered your schedule and takes you to the page to confirm the flight, scroll down to the lower left-hand corner of the webpage and you'll see the "on-time performance". Currently I'm seeing 58% for the month of January 2015.

    • +1

There is a layover of 23 hours in Manila, which is why the flight is so long.

    • Found another set of dates which are $650 return

For 1,000 one way with a long transit time and low cost carriers, i'd personnally be taking the standard gulf carriers, which have sales for around the same vicinity. For Asia, it would be ok. But extra long haul, would be a killer.

But good find as usual from iwantthatflight. Thanks!

    • +4

it's not one way, it is return. I'm seeing $814.48 with a 15kg checked in bag. But it takes bloody 40 hrs to get there

      • Oh. I read it wrong. That is really cheap. But not only is it a long haul, with low cost carriers but also the long transit in Manilla would be "fun" as its notorious for being one of the worst airports in the world - as in barely any amenities. For an extra 350-400 Royal brunei offer a service Melb > Dubai > London for around 1,500.

To save even more and match up with the cheap fares from Dubai, you could go 2/3 of the way tp Dubai and connect with the deals posted by iwantthatflight.

one checked bag adds $144.03!! and only 15kg!

    Paging travelwiz…

    • +4

Nah travelwiz is only cheapest like 1 week a year apparently, these dates don't seem to apply.

      • +3

Sad thing is he didn't even have the cheapest flights after all that talk and bragging. As soon as someone posted cheaper flights, poof, he disappeared.

    • +1

Just thinking the same, travelwiz did a great job putting his/her name out there haha.

  • If you can do a stay over in manila for a few days then it's a pretty darn good deal.

Pick a nice hotel in Manila that will pick you up from the airport. The taxi cartels are horrid and you'll regret it. 2 hours is nothing unusual to catch a real cab from the airport unless you're happy to pay $50 for a $5 cab ride to the cartels. Coming back to the airport isn't an issue.

      • You seem to have a very poor understanding of the local operations of Manila. Yes, you will get ripped off and that is quite normal but it won't be $50 - ever.

Source: family been living there as expats on/off since 1990, dozens of return trips there myself and lived there 2006-2010.

        • Been there recently?
I did a couple of trips and each time I came out was hassled to take the PHP1500 taxi to the city. I laughed and kept walking to the ridiculously long taxi line and happily waited. I was in no hurry. If it was one off, I'd agree, but this was each time I arrived in MNL.

Amazing price if you are financially but not time constrained.

  • Cant get the world price map to load. Anyone else having issues?

~$1k flight to Moscow to meet Putin is OUTSTANDING offer…

    • +1

Wearing OzBargain t-shirt for obligatory shirtfront.
      What would Putin do?

      • No idea… seeing that our leader didn't actually get around to showing us what a real shirtfront is…

  • hehe Putin is not included in this offer))) wouldn't go to Moscow guys. Go to Saint Petersburg, instead. the cultural capital of Russia!
or go to Siberia and surroundings) this area two times bigger than Australia

  • Be aware the Cebu flight to/from Sydney is packed like sardines, most seats ever fitted for that aircraft. I am doing MNL-SYD in a few weeks as I live in Manila. Calculate paying for bulkhead row to be comfortable enough to travel.

You can catch white taxis at Manila airport and avoid yellow airport taxis by heading to the departures level and finding the last door to exit (without metal detectors) and joining the locals in the line for white taxis.

    • Wow your not wrong…..
      http://www.seatmaestro.com/airplanes-seat-maps/cebu-pacific-…

Anyone over 6" would be crippled for life after flying for 40 hours

      • I for one am more than six inches tall. That really is packed like sardines!

    • I just travelled return MNL-SYD, and on both flights there were lots of empty seats. Enough for a lot of people to sleep lying down on 3 seats.

Don't catch taxis unless you have a lot of luggage, get the airport bus from Manila to EDSA/Taft. It's right at the end of the terminal exit on the right. The MRT goes to a lot places from there.

  • The cheapest I got for the Dubai flight was $856 :(

  • Also couldn't find it today. Is it still available?
