This is a great resort for kids-lots of free activities to do including canoeing, catamaran and trampoline on the lake. On the down side the standard resort rooms are tired and need refurbishment. The one bed apartments are much better. $99 is ok but I have paid around $90 at accor 50%off sale and if you are an accor advantage plus member they often have rooms at $72 (red hot room). I think max occupancy is 2 adults 2 kids.

  • Great resort

    • You have got to be joking. Was there for a wedding last November, had 4 rooms booked for 3 nights, and the air conditioning for all rooms was not working. Staff response was woeful. Would not recommend.

After the first night and no action from staff I decided to remove intake vent in my room and found 6 inches of uncleaned fluff. Looks like they haven't been cleaned for the life of the rooms.

      • I've never had a problem. Stayed there a few times over the years. The rooms were fine (fairly bog standard stuff). Its the activities etc that make the resort great.

    great resort for families

    Really good for kids.

  • Great price.

Except the rooms are a little out of date. But the resort facility is nice .

  • Only two dates come up as available, even looking far into the future.

  • Been there twice. A little tired but a nice resort. Pay a bit more to get the breakfast, holidays are for relaxing, not food preparation.

When I go to the sunny coast I love to enjoy the local cafe's and have breakie or brunch there

The Novotel is nice and secluded but far from everything. If you want to hit the Cafes and Restaurants stay elsewhere or you're in for a lot of driving.

So yes I'd recommend the (expensive) breakfast option. Good place for family trips with kids.

        • I usually just head up to coolum, not that fast and plenty of choice of food there

  • Tried to book for 2 adults and 2 children and a 1year old (would have taken a porta cot) …..no luck a 1 year old is a child at Twin Waters, Only airlines and most other hotels would rate a 1 year old as baby.
    Brick bats to Twin Waters

    • I doubt they'd notice if you turned up with an extra.
