  • Just FYI when I was reading about Bosch dishwashers, some posts and reviews stated that the 8au with plastic tub is made in Turkey and the 12au with steel tub is made in Germany. All of the 12au dishwasher doors in various stores I checked said it was made in Spain… YMMV..

  • I bought made in turkey one at our last house. It was fine. The steel wire welds on the racks were a little weak, one spike broke off 3 months in. And I had my wife call bosch one day and they wouldn't replace it. Maybe she was not stern enough.

I had to sell that one with our last house sale. And we needed to replace the one in the new house, we got one of new dishlex range which is made in poland. Seems Just as good design wise and was heaps cheaper, water and power comsumption are same, and full stainless inside, Though no aqua stop hoses. But how else are you supposed to get new kitchen cabinets on an insurance claim? It was awesome cheap on the last 20% ebay good guys sale. it was a DSF6205X stainless finish for $460 after the discount.

    • Also dishlex/westinghouse/electrolux will always be around parts wise. they arent the best but can always be repaired. Thats why dishlex/electrolux are good for renter houses as you can claim the repair on your tax etc.

  • Has anyone actually bought this online and verified they will get the 10% EFTPOS card? I just called a Good Guys store where I have one of these on order (at a higher price) and they told me that they could only enter me for the promotion if I bought it at the RRP which is $999 on their system. They told me their system will not allow them to enter for the promotion unless it is done at that price.

So is there any online confirmation at the $799 price which is a great price?

    • Here are the terms and conditions:

You buy it and then claim in line with the above. Just says you have to spend over $700.

    • No, was going to buy later today after I have a sleep. That is annoying. Terms and Conditions state ticketed price, no further details apply. But 799 is the current ticketed price, so you think they ought to take it from that price.

      • Yes I agree, the ticketed price is clearly $799 online.

      • Well I bought one online today and have entered the promotion. Cross fingers all goes smoothly.

    Dishwasher model?
    Hmm… Male or female?

  • This model is a choice recommended buy so great deal at $719.

Love our Bosch dishwasher although it is made in Germany.

  • This is the new model, which is made in Spain. The preceded model was made in Germany. the information you found on the Internet may be associated with the preceded model. Essentially, they are the same in every way without any noticeable improvement, so a move from being made in Germany to Spain is a backward step by Bosch??

    • I purchased a wall oven not long ago, and noticed the same model of Bosch oven was available at two different prices: one made in Spain, one in Germany. Turns out Spain manufactures a great lot of kitchen appliances for good brands. So I would not worry about it. The "made in Germany" endorsement is greatly overused and overvalued IMO (Tut mir leid - ich möge Deutschland sehr gerne….).

  • A lot of whirlpool stuff is made in Spain. Its not a question of were its made in my opinion it's whether its good or bad. As this is a new range you have to take the punt on the Bosch range. Plus you are helping a poor country get ahead.
