I just saw PS3 at 438 at the Franston-Dandenong Harvey Norman Store yesterday. Not bad compared to 499 I guess.

It's the 120 GB Slim version.

Doesn't say anything about it being for the slim or not.

Seems like a fraudulent way into drawing people in the store then surprising them with bad news.

  Judging by the fact that the description says 80GB HDD and the picture is the non-slim version, I'd say it's not a slim version.

  It is the slim version 120 GB PS3.
  It's a store only thing and not website based so the content on the web is not correct.

Last time I went to Harvey Norman Robina (QLD), they were selling unbundled PS3 Slims 120GB for $438 - so I believe this price could still be going if they're still trying to beat the competition.

It's solely up to the decision of each store though, as they're all different.
