I think there is a fine line between bargain and not bargain.

Not commenting on the bargain / no bargain front, but I am using this webcam for several years ands it's AMAZING. Great performance in low light.
Yeah the video is good, but the microphone(s) are complete garbage.

These are great if you have a business, and you need to scan documents to send by email. I did have a scanner, but I found they are really slow. Now I have a webcam set on top of my monitor, but pointed down towards the desk. Any time I need to "scan" a document, I fire up the webcam software, take a snapshot at maximum resolution, and send that. Much faster, when doing multiple pages it takes me about five seconds per page. And I don't have to get out the scanner and put it away, the webcam is much more convenient!
You do need a webcam with good resolution though. One megapixel is not really enough, three megapixels (the resolution of the C920) is good. Works out to about 180 dpi for an A4 page, if you get the webcam at the correct height so the page fills the image.
Are these much better than the LifeCam Studio which I got for $29 after ms cashback? lol.
Yes. Much better video quality and sound IMO. YMMV
This is a negative vote, for the simple fact i got this from JB Hifi for $69 back 11 May 2013, thats right, nearly two years ago, never the less, i recommend this webcam over all others.
I '+' your comment after someone negged it, valid point IMO. Not a bargain as such.
