    • Ah cheers, I checked Booko but not ebay!

  • Great collection, but why only on paperback? A digital format option would be a lot better for many people.

They are kids' books. Kids like paperbacks.
And if I gave it to him on my Kindle Fire, he'd just pretend to read, and play Minecraft.

If you gave me the option of Minecraft or reading, I'd choose the latter any day. Far less boring.

          Are you a kid?

        • You don't know kids.

        • You don't have kids

        • @tessel:

No, I don't. But I know what kids are like (I was one myself), and they're not into boring pointless sandbox games with 80s style graphics.

  • Seen this for $40 at Costco. Also able to get it online for 50 delivered. Sorry!

Was at Docklands Costco last night, they're now $28.99

  • This would be comparable to the other options with the 15% discount + ~5% cash rewards rebate if anybody is thinking of buying.

    • You could always buy it now and cancel the transaction later for "technical reasons" if you change your mind.

      • Or you could do a coles online(jim beam 375ml $5.89)change the price when you feel like it

My kid was giving this set for her birthday and loves it so much, she sleeps with it. We read Charlie and the chocolate factory together, which is a great book obviously. Then we started on Charlie and the great glass elevator, I'm struggling to read it to them, it's so bad, but the kids like it at least.

Sometimes what we think is bad is great for them. And what we think is great us bad to them. I've nearly given up at times from exasperation.

fireman sam - a great example. it is beyond me why norman isn't in pontypandy juvenile detention.

and whatever happened to all the other people in town!

        • +1

Seriously, Pontypandy can't have a population more than a hundred people or so. And yet they need half a dozen full-time professional emergency responders, including 24/7 fire station, boats, even a helicopter.

Why? To handle accidents caused by only one kid.

If just one time, when Norman had set fire to his own room or whatever, they pretended the emergency phone system was broken… they'd save millions of dollars a year…

        • @mgowen: And don't get me started on all that catholic driven guilt tripe known as Thomas the Tanked Engine. Poor little engines in a constant cycle of redemption.

EDIT - found one catholic by the looks of it

  • Dodgy company and better deals elsewhere anyway…why bother?

  • Should neg this deal as pack doesn't include Bitch Bitch. Classic Dahl.
