  • I assume the promo codes will change, correct?

  • Meh… Just received a 20% off code few days ago. Seems targeted but some of you may have received it too? Check your email guys :D

Is there any good deal with living social?

Just a quick one, 7% discount on 10% discount won't be 17%. 16.3% if my maths is correct haha. Thought it would be a bit more different before I did that calc but oh well, good to know.

      Sorry, but you are wrong.
The cashrewards is applied for the initial price. So say, if you buy a 100$ item.
Cash rewards will be 7$( 7% off 100).
And regular discount will be 10$, making the Final value Lesser by 17$. Hence 17%.
      Sometimes being Asian pays ;)

        I think B0M8 is correct here…
I understand the cash rewards to be on the amount of the transaction itself. So if you have a $100, and 10% off, the final purchase is $90. Cash rewards doesn't know the item was valued at $100, only that $90 was paid. That's how cashback works - a percentage of the transaction. So they will pay 7% on the $90.

  • Will wait for the 20% off and buy some wine :)

    • You need to 'unlock' the 20% by first using the 10% off, then using the 15% off

      • well that changes everything ….

      • i couldnt find any info regarding this condition…where would that be stated?

        • In email.
You need to buy a deal with code @10%, again with next code at 15%, to get 20% off with 3rd code.

Too bad if there's no good deals available on Monday & Thursday! Still, you get 10+% off today's deal if you're quick.

  • Just a heads up - both times I bought items from Living Social using Cashrewards I did not get the Cash reward (but I have received the rewards from the other places - eg Dan Murphys). I don't trust Living Social at all for this reason.

    • Got mine finally with apology from CashRewards.

Any merchant that offers refunds, will wait until the refund period has expired before paying out referral credit to CashRewards. That's why it takes ages with LS (refunds possible until last day of voucher use or longer) & DM is quick.

Took the maximum possible 90 days :-(

      Received 20/2

    • i got paid from cash rewards

  • Purchased a $24 meal with wine. Had been considering it before this deal. Paid using LivingSocial "deal bucks", so may not get the 7% CashRewards.

Previously bought 13 "deal bucks" with movie ticket for $13 less promo discount & CashRewards. Used that 13 "deal bucks" to buy another movie & 13 "deal bucks". Somehow I ended up with 2 movies & 26 "deal bucks" for less than $13.

So for about $11, I bought 2 movie tickets, "$48" meal at award winning restaurant, & still have 4.40 "deal bucks" to spend. Any CashRewards will be a small bonus ;-)

  • Just tried using 'PROMO10' and it says 'Your code has expired [E03]'.

Edit: This deal originally stated expiry date of 26 March.

  • Yeah mine didn't work at any point. Pretty annoying since i had a deal picked out
