Someone SSD smart - is this a good deal? All I want is to speed up my laptop :)

    • 16 uploads with no comments - that should've given you a hint. :)

(Yes, it is a good deal)

      • i guess PowerB was looking more for comments that might steer him towards or away from the battery. sometimes what is "good" to you might not be "good" to others. as usual YMMV.

  • Great deal, one of the best SSD's out there for the price. MSY selling it for little less then 300 so you save about $50 when you do the free shipping.

With the quickest shipping it's around $280.

It's back to $199.99 USD already.

  • That was finished before I even made it home from work :)

  • This drive has really good synthetic benchmarks, but I am wondering if there is much difference in real world terms (eg Windows Boot speed, photoshop startup time, time to load a level in a game, etc). has anyone tested performance with an 850 Evo?

  • I think you can still get it from european amazon sites (italian or french). Look up ssd On ozb

  • I think there's a pattern on Oz Bargain. When I've already purchased something, they seem to post another of a comparative or better deal. #JustmyLuck #firstworldproblems

  • Still says $179 for me using the original link

  • Thanks OP just bit the bullet, time to upgrade from my old 128GB SSD

  • I would prefer Sandisk SSD to be honest.
I have a 120G EVO and it uses TLC and it's a bit slow compared with Sandisk Ultra SSD (sometimes they are similar price, Intel is too expensive).

  • Just and FYI. Currently as of 6/04/2015 the price is USD189.99 which is around AUD $266.35 incl shipping! Pretty good deal with most Aus prices still being more then AUD $300.
