    Good deal. Tried to buy one myself, only to be told that they didn't have any clay bars because everyone steals them. Suck a fat one thieves!

      thats because the clay bar is what does the job.

      I normally buy it from a panel shop, costs $40 (big bar, probably 200g)

      But you should easily do 6 cars.

      Body detailer is BS, i just use water in a spray bottle

        Water with a bit of detergent for extra slipperiness.

        I bought "3M" clay bars from aliexpress and I think they were about $2 each.

          Use a bit of car soap instead of a detergent. I still find a dedicated quick detailer or clay lube works a lot better than any soap. A $30 bottle of Ultima Waterless Wash Plus will make up over 20L of clay lube, rinseless wash, quicker detailer. Whatever you want to use it for.

          You bought "fake" clay bars from aliexpress. The wrong type of car can mar your paint much more. The extra time you spend polishing is not worth it. I hate polishing :/

          This isn't a bad deal for the casual detailer

      Prompted by your question I just opened a pack I got in a 'Mother Bucket' kit when I bought my new car… 4.5 years ago! It's a little bit firm but still mold-able and absolutely not dry.

    You get 1 clay bar kit ( 2 x 60g bars in a plastic case) and 1 bottle of body detailer (750ml) for $24.95 which is crazy.

    Bowden's also has a range of microfibre comming out in the next couple of months

    "We have a new version of this cloth landing next month (plus a lot more), that are 40 x 50 cm, soft split microfibre, 30% Polyamide and 70% Polyester, 380GSM. Also has our new super soft edging as well, so they will never scratch and last even longer."

    The body detailer can be used on its own if you want or with the clay bars.

    If a bird poo's on your car and you dont want to wash the WHOLE car then spray the poo down with body detailer and wipe away with a microfibre cloth.

    It also works as a lubricant with a auto clay bar. QUICK STEPS BELOW

    WASH CAR
    DRY CAR
    rub clay over car using body detailer as a cleaning soluation and lubricant.
    the clay bar will pick up minor dirt particals on the cars surface (which you can see in the clay after rubbing)
    this prepares your car for waxing/sealing or even further polishing (to remove clear coat minor scratches)

    There are many different brands. But at the moment this deal with Bowden's Own is very cheap.

    Its not for everybody but the idea is to get your cars surface very clean to allow the wax to sick to it.

    FYI using this clay is going to take you minimum 3 hours for a corolla size car. You have to wash the car, clay, wash again, use sealer, then use wax. A coat of sealer means apply one panel, buff off by hand, next panel and so on.

    |You can't just clay your car and then leave it.

      You have the option of using a sealant or wax. Using both isn't necessary, though it's an option if you want to.
