FREE Reusable Bag Clip with Purchase of Carman's Muesli

60

Email [email protected] with your products’ barcode, and we’ll pop one in the mail for you! Be sure to include your name and address

The free reusable bag clip will be sent to you by post straight away!

Mod: Link does not stiplate what you need to purchase, one would assume it is Carman's Museli packs. Note this is a new deal that requires a purchase + barcode to be sent. The previously removed deal did not have a purchase/barcode requirement and Carman's therefore asked us to remove it (as it was not meant for the general public who had not purchased a Carman's item).

  • Does this mean you can just go to the shop and copy down or photograph a barcode?

Does this mean you can go into a store and take the a box of Carman Muesli without paying for it?
There's a fine line between being a tight arse and being a theif.

      • Taking a box of muesli is illegal (if you haven't paid for it).

Taking a photograph of it is not.

Pretty clear cut to me. No fine line.

        • The right to use the barcode to claim the clip and your right to the muesli itself are one in the same.
It is no different to eating half the box of muesli and leaving it there.
As you can clearly see from the Carman associate's post, you are only entitled to claim a clip if you have made the relevant purchase.
As you said, taking a photo of something is completely legal (often). What you are proposing isnt simply taking a photo, it is stealing what the actual person who buys it is entitled to. Just because you are able to use the barcode without opening the package, doesn't mean it's not stealing.

        • @brentman1: No it's not stealing what the actual person who buys it is entitled to. This is because the barcodes are all the same.

        • @happychappy1: However, it is stealing from Carman, no two ways about it.
