Vessel has just launched, and they're giving away a free 12 month subscription (no credit card req) to everyone who signs up in the next 69 hours. From my understanding, Vessel is a video sharing platform (like YouTube and Vimeo) which gives subscribers early access to videos before they become publicly available for free.
There's currently 165 creators on Vessel, including LinusTechTips, Ray William Johnson, Unbox Therapy and more.

I wouldn't either, unless it went direct to the content creator (like Patreon does). Though, I am curious to see how this goes! As much as I hate having to use Adblock, it seems to be a necessity these days on the web. Another revenue stream for content creators couldn't hurt :)
that's true, if 90% of that $3 goes to the people I choose for it to go to, then I would subscribe. Maybe.
Ugh, seeing all the "channels" just makes me kind of mad. A lot of attention seeking idiots and boring-as-(profanity)-and-cheap vloggers, earning more money than they should be. I did it for linus but that's all!

edit: Hmm there seems to be a problem with "HD", there's only "HD on". I can't choose whether it is 720p, 1080p, 1440p or 3840p…. Are they not launching with as good of video quality as youtube?? That's kind of lame.
